First day of classes!! I woke up around 8:30 because Nick woke me up from getting ready. I got in the shower, had a little breakfast and finally left for my first class: AIS, aka Accounting Information Systems. As soon as class started, in walked a previous teacher of mine and announced how we must act now, by Sept 10th, to get in resumes, cover letters, and other things in order to be considered for jobs and/or internships for the summer/fall of 2010. I began to panic. This was much much sooner then I expected and I'm still getting over my exhaustion of applying to 50-60 different places this summer. Great! So the class finally started and it was fine. Seems pretty good so far. I then walked home because I had some free time and I ate a little lunch and called home. I walked back to campus and ran into Alison, from Sophomore year. I haven't seen her in a year. We talked briefly, but I had to go to History of Japan. In my class I sat next to Jay, Nick's former roommate from Freshman year. Nuts, I haven't seen him in forever as well. During the class the professor pointed me out and asked what I thought of his exams haha. I'm thrilled he just remembers me and hopefully that will be some sort of an advantage. After I came home and began my homework. I read about 70 pages between AIS and Japan. Before 7 I began to cook spaghetti and Nick came home to eat some too. We watched a little tv from about 8:30 till bedtime after 11. 10:07PM

Today I woke up around 8 because Nick had to work. I showered and was off to work because I wanted a scale that was really reduced! It was originally $50 and I got it for $10 and it's really really cool. Nick broke my old one by crushing it with my suitcase lol. I also got a newspaper to occupy my time with. I also mailed some bills. Nick and I went for a drive to see his dad and then we did grocery's. Along the way we found a free AC window unit on the side of the road that works. Nick put it together and it's fine and he cleaned it up. So even though the hotness of summer is over, I want to keep it for next summer. It's almost 6000 btu's. Not bad! I had a sorority meeting and got a ride from a friend who lives above me. We made pork chops for dinner when I got home and watched some tv. 10:53PM

I woke up and had to go to work today. Before hand I had to get some gas and I left early to get to work because today I knew we'd be slammed with college kids. And we were. It was nuts and I worked 9 hours. Very very long day. When I got home I had 2 hot dogs and then Nick and I went over to Amy/Eddy's place. We had a nice time, but left around 12 because I was tired. 10:45PM

I woke up early to help move in little freshies today. Nick drove me over to Brittany's place. Some other girls showed up and we began our hike to Trinity campus. We intended to direct people where to park and stuff, but we had to actually carry stuff in. I did more lifting and climbing stairs then I ever did, even adding my 3 move in's together! By noon was exhausted. We got a free lunch: a yucky refrigerated sandwich, chips, and water. We ended up leaving around 1:20. We took the bus back, I got my sweatshirt and then I hung out with Sophie for a few hours. We decorated her room and I cleaned up her laptop lol. I walked home and showered thinking we would go out to eat tonight, but we didn't because Nick wasn't feeling so great. After a while of just relaxing we went out to walk around and enjoy the nice weather. We went downtown to the waterfront and sat for a bit, but it was cold so we came back up and ran into Stephanie who was going out to dinner. We then went to Ben and Jerry's and got an ice cream sundae. It was yummy yummy!! I think that was it. We just came back and relaxed. Nick saw some friends, but I had to work the next day so I stayed in and went to sleep. 11:01PM

So I've discovered I bought the wrong tax book. This was the most expensive book out of the bunch at the bookstore, with it's own total of $220. I searched online carefully and even took the time to ask questions to make sure it was right. But still, I got the wrong thing, at a still high price of around $140. So I had to get this new, correct book today. I did just that and then went to on to do laundry since this was my only my real chance to do it. I came home and put away the laundry, had lunch and was off to work and close the store for 9 hours. Long and very hectic day. I've got this ulcer in my mouth now. I came home and had some yogurt as a little filler before I went to sleep. 9:21PM

I woke up early again to go into work. It was a busy day. With all the kids moving in shortly, we've been just slammed. I was ready to leave and relax, it's been stressful to me. Nick and I made chicken and pasta roni and corn. It was really good too. I'm really liking those pasta roni meals. They are tasty, perfect for two if you add some meat. We watched a little tv and that was about it for this day. I've put together all my books and folders according to the subject. 6:11PM

Let's see I had to wake up today to go to work and it was cool outside. And it was going to rain today. Well during the day it rained and once I got out it was even cooler! This like huge cold front blew on it and now it's nice and cool. No more of this scorching heat, it's wonderful. I came home and Nick and I made dinner: chicken and rice a roni. I woke up after Nick had left for work. I got up, cleaned up, and had breakfast. I watched tv and relaxed because I had to go to work later. I cleaned the toilet today. And now it's squeaky clean and white. It makes me feel relaxed lol and like at peace haha. I got ready for work and went out to close. I came home and made an omelet for a later dinner and that was about it. 9:59PM

Sunday! I slept in till about 9. Which I feel like I've had trouble doing, so that was nice. I showered and then we made breakfast. I made some coffee and we were going to do waffles, but we were out of eggs. Oops. We had muffins instead. When we were all set Nick and I went out to do some fun errands. We first stopped at his dads house to get some stuffs and then we went on to Staples. They had like next to no products by Five Star, which Nick and I use and that really upset us. It feels like unnatural to not have it. Lucky for me I bought my notebooks in June because I always get the leftovers the day before school starts. And now Nick can't find. But I still needed folders, which I couldn't find. So we went to Wal-Mart and I found my folders there, but Nick still hadn't. So on the way back to Staples we stopped at Petsmart to see the kitties for sale. Cute. We got Nick Staples brand notebooks that will just have to work. We then went to the UMall because I needed to use some Victoria's Secret coupons. I got a bra half off and then I checked out the Express sale area, but nothing caught my eye. Then we went grocery shopping. And we did this so early! We came home and accidently left the milk in the trunk for an hour lol. But it wasn't a hot day and it was cloudy. So when we pulled it in, it was still cold and stuff. So we think it's ok. We had a little lunch and watched some tv and eventually it was dinner time! We made meatball subs. Yum! I got up I guess around 9 and cleaned up, had some breakfast. As soon as we were ready we walked downtown to visit the farmer's market. We didn't get anything, but we looked around. There's some interesting things there. Like lots of vegetables. I'm always tempted to get some sweet corn, but I feel like it's more exciting to buy the french version, mais sucre lol. There were some water color paintings of the Vermont landscape which I'm sure my mother would love, but one I had picked out in my mind cost $150. Too much for me. Sorry! There were interesting shaped candles, and other odd things. We then went to City Market because today is no tax day and Nick wants some tax free beer. We found nothing there and moved on to Pearl Street Beverage and he got a few things. I made lunch and had to go off to work this tax free day. It was crazy. The parking lot was totally packed. Unbelievable. I kinda feel like the whole day was a blur. And I had to buy some hand sanitizer since I was blowing my nose like crazy and didn't want to disgust the customers out. I closed and came home and relaxed. And now I shall hit the sack. 11:43PM

I was off today! And it was wonderful. I slept in till about 8:30 and woke up with quite a stuffy nose. Wonderful! I showered and had breakfast. I watched tv attempted to clean the toilet. It was just covered in mildew. It's unbelievable! So gross. I only got to use tilex and will have to use my other cleaning stuff another time. Nick got home and we had some cheeseburgers. Then we went to Nick's friends place. It was time for me to meet them. They are a little older than us, aka, out of college and they sit around trying fancy beers for a few hours. I however have nothing in common and have nothing to bring to the conversation lol. So I struggled but ended up feeling pretty sick so we left around 8. Nick got me some ice cream at McDonalds and we then went to Price Chopper to get some meat for Nick and I needed some tissues asap. I got 3 boxes. It was clearly an emergency. We came home and I went to sleep after about 11, 11:30ish. 11:38PM

I woke up and went straight to work. I didn't sweat!! Qhat a miracle! It's finally a hair cooler, now it's in the 80s versus 90s. Crazy. Well work was fine. I got out of there and came home and saw a certain orange ticket stuck on a neighbors car. They got a sidewalk ticket too! Glad I wasn't there! But we've definitely improved, like seriously concentrating and coming up with a new strategy, but I still think it's ridiculous. We were off to Costco to get some food. We got quite a bit, but it's going to cut back on some meals too, so that'll be nice. I feel like it all balances out you know. Then we came home and made ravioli. I splashed some boiling water onto my arm. Ouch. Project Runway premieres tonight! I'm so pumped!! 10:31PM

I woke up and saw an orange ticket on the window of the car. Becuase of my bad parking job last night, I was on the sidewalk a little too much. Now we barely have much of a parking spot, but yeah I was pretty clearly on. So we got a $50 ticket. Still, I think it's stupid. This is the first we've gotten and I'm sure we've parked badly before. I'm just annoyed. Anyway I watched some tv but then I had to go into work to close again. I got out and parked better and went inside. Nick and I decided when we got a puppy, we will get a Westie and name her Westington. lol. It's cute! And call it like Westie or Wessy for short lol. I woke up around 8 and showered. I tried my best at staying cool because it would be another hot one. I was also going to do some laundry, but there were a bunch of bugs flying around down there. It was yucky. So I went to the laundromat and did my load of laundry there. I was so sweaty, I had to take a shower and clean off when I got home. Yuck. I also had to work so I sweat more on the way to work, gross. I had to close too, bleh. Lately we've had a few instances of crime going on around us. A girl had her purse stolen, one of Nick's friends got mugged, and some detail was ripped off of Nick's car. So I saw this sketchy character and had Nick watch me as I pulled in late and I quickly got into the house, but I wasn't paying much attention to my parking job. 10:22PM

I woke up with a lovely sore throat. I think all this hot weather has made my allergies act up. I also had work today and once I got home it was incredibly hot. I decided we would go out to eat and enjoy some air conditioning. So off we went to Roque's. It was busy but we got a spot at the bar and had dinner. It was yummy. We drove home and then suffered the rest of the night in the hotness by watching Jon and Kate Plus 8, I still like the show. And we watched a few other things, but it was just so awfully hot. I got up at about 8 and got into the shower. I had a little breakfast and sometime around 9:30 Nick and I went to the banks and then we were off to New York! We drove all the way to Akwesasne Casino, where "their tradition is gambling." Hahahaha. It was 2.5 hours away and along the way we went through a huge area of wind mills. I had never seen one of those wind farms in person before, it was like surreal but very very cool! There must have been like over a hundred and they were huge. Very cool. So we got to the casino just before 12:30 and we immediately signed up for the "winner's club" so we got $10 in free credits too. Awesome! Nick started off well and was up $15 and I was slowly losing. I got some good wins but ended up being down $40. We ate lunch at the buffet before 3 so that the prices wouldn't go up on us. We played a little more but Nick lost his money he started with. He managed to play his $20 the entire time, but eventually lost it all. We left at 3:30 and drove across the street to IGA to get some cold drinks, because the AC is out and it's hot hot hot. The casino was a long of fun though. Better games than Baton Rouge, not as good as Las Vegas, but still a really fun place. We drove home and tried to find this 120 foot waterfall, but you had to pay. Whatever. We got back to Burlington and then went to the grocery store. Ahh, AC. We then made dinner, some frozen meal that wasn't bad. 10:53PM

So I slept in till about 8. I got ready for work and was off to do a 9 hour shift, long! It wasn't busy for a Saturday but it's so hot out now. It's been in the 90's, and at home we don't have air conditioning, and now in Nick's car, it has officially blown up for good and that won't work. I can only get relief at work and in grocery stores, rough. I got out of work around 7 and came home to make a pizza. I brought some over when I went to see Nick at Colin's. Some other people were there too. We hung out for about an hour and me, Nick, Darby, and Max walked to this new, revamped club called The Lift. We got in and it was nice in there and it had cold cold A/C! I actually felt cold. It was awesome. So I got a drink there was reasonably affordable lol. We left around 11 though because we were tired. And I was asleep by about 11:30ish. 9:37PM

So I woke up today and finally balanced out the money that is for the apartment and then my money. It's taken me forever, but I finally got it correct. I then finished my puzzle, yay! And tried to do some laundry, but go figure the dryer didn't dry everything completely. So I had to hang it up quickly and then run off to work. I closed so all I did when I got home was eat soup, talk to Nick for a bit and then go to sleep. 9:35PM

Woke up at 7 to go to work at 9. It was a short 5 hour day. I got out of there and came home to eat some hot dogs and then Nick and I went out again. It's hot and we have to A/C relief. We were going to make ravioli, but discovered that we were out of pasta sauce lol. So we ate macaroni and cheese. I've got just about all of my books. I'm missing only just one. 10:20PM

I slept in till about 10 today and it was already really hot in the house. I cleaned up, had breakfast and then worked on my puzzle for hours. I talked to mom and did more puzzle. Nick came home and we went out to do a few errands. We came back and then made dinner: chicken and rice a roni. Low sodium, bleh. We also watched tv and just relaxed. It's just been so hot. Today I slept till 10 and it was so hot. I woke up so sweaty. I showered and had breakfast. I then worked on the puzzle for hours. I drove up to the Davis Center because it was raining and I bought a book that I couldn't find online. I went to see Nick at work, but he was in a different building. I then went to the bank and then back home. Yesterday they had asked me to come in tonight for a few hours so off I went to work 5 hours. It wasn't too terrible. Busy here and there. After I got out I came back home to have a hot dog and opened some books I had gotten in the mail. But now I guess it's time for bed. 11:02PM

Thursday. So I hung around the house doing my puzzle. I then found out I could get the car back so I had a lot of waiting to figure out how I would get there. I had to take a taxi, which was just delightful. I had to give directions lol. I got there safely and got the car back, yay! It's a lot smoother when driving. I slept in today and had breakfast, but decided I would go see Harry Potter today. I went at noon and there was a grand total of 10 ish people there, it was awesome lol. The movie was good, but not out of this world. I kinda just went to see what would happen next. I can't recall the books that well, so it was almost new to me. On the way I home I stopped at Creative Habitat, which is a store that is closing and reminds me of a Hobby Lobby or Micheal's. And so I got some cheap colored pencils and a 1000 piece puzzle to work on and some Christmas bulbs! 70% off. As I was driving home this foam crap started flying out of the vents and the air conditioning was kinda deteriorating. So I talked it over with Nick and I would take it in. I did just that and got a ride home. I worked on my puzzle for a while and had dinner: pizza. Finally something new to eat! I talked to Stephanie which was nice too. And watched tv. I woke up and went to work early in the morning and after I came home and it was hot hot hot. It felt weird getting off at 3. And my foot insoles were working wonderfully. I didn't have to go into work today so instead I had breakfast and then went out to do some errands. I stopped at the Davis Center to drop something off, first time I've been on campus lol. And very briefly, and I drove haha. I then went to Kohl's and returned the last black shirt I bought for the Children's Place but never wore. Because I don't need it obviously. And I needed some sandals for a few sorority outfits, so I searched for some silver and black sandals and I finally found a cheap silver pair. It didn't have to be anything special, so I'm glad I got some of it out of the way. Then I went on to do my laundry. I forgot to bring something to read so I read about real estate in Vermont. There's some nice places out there, but not for me lol. I then came home and had lunch, leftover spaghetti and balls. Then I went down to Church Street to get some more eyeliner. They didn't have my color so I'm trying a different shade of black. From New Black to Really Black. Apparently different. I came home and watched some tv shows I had taped previously and then later my leftovers again, spaghetti and balls and corn. Yum! There were 2 new Jon and Kate Plus 8 episodes, which were fun and I watched some other stuff too. 7:37PM

So we got up kind of early today. We got breakfast just before 9 at Tim Horton's. I got a dozen little donut holes. Yum! That was kind of a lot though lol. We came back to the hotel to grab our things and then we checked out and began our trip home. We didn't have any traffic, it was great. And we got in the very fast lane to cross the border. It then began to rain as we got home. I dropped Nick at his house and then I went to quit the children's place. I was only put on the schedule for 3.5 hours, and it's just not worth it and the inconvenience. So I got my reasons all in line and I went in. The lady who hired me when to the receiving area and I went too, because I asked if we could talk in private. I said, I don't think this is working out. She cut me off shouting, "That's fine. I've got stuff to do. Have a great day!" and stormed around the corner. Um, so it took me a while, I thought she might be getting something but then it occured to me that she clearly had no care or interest to know why one of her employees doesn't want to work there anymore and threw the hissy fit. So I just walked out of there. Lol. This lady is nuts! She has hung up on the phone with me, and now does this. So I was totally flustered over it, because that was not anything I was expecting. She could have done that on the floor! In front of all the shoppers. Poor other workers that have to work with her. She's ruining that store with that rude, bad attitude. My reasoning was, I had worked 11 hours in 2 months and a bunch of unkept promises. It's not worth it. So yes, on to the grocery store. I got some meals and went home and it was still pouring. Yucky day. I then edited all the pictures I took from the trip and later made dinner: spaghetti and balls. And corn! I watched Big Brother and some other HGTV shows. 6:59PM

Today I got up just before 9 when TCP called me to come in and work. Sorry I can't, I am leaving for Montreal shortly. Today is the Osheaga festival and I have a ticket! Nick and I packed and left around 11:45. We drove up and getting across the border took a long time, 30 minutes. Normally it's very quick to get in, but everyone was crossing. We stopped at a beer store for him. We got to try some too, it was really cool and a nice surprise. Going to the beer store also allowed us to enter Montreal from a secret back way with a lot less traffic. This may become a regular thing. We then went to the hotel which is actually the same one we had been to before. Two summers ago when I visited we went swimming at some random hotel, and it was this one. I thought the pool picture looked familiar. We checked in, parked, brought up the luggage and then put on some suntan lotion. Then went to the Metro and bought some tickets and went to the island for the festival. It was about 4:30 now and we took a place in the crowd. Eagles of Death Metal began to play. We were pretty close to the stage, but not the first row like we were for the Smashing Pumpkins. I was hoping we could still move up though. Once they were done, we were able to a little more. Then Elbow played next door on the other stage. Then Jason Mraz played in front of us. It was alright. I didn't really care. Then the Roots were at the other stage. They sounded pretty good. And finally, at about 9:15, Coldplay finally came out! Finally, I was tired of waiting. We had a pretty good spot and I had sat as much as I could in between to try to save my energy. The show was great. I took a lot of pictures and some video clips. There were two huge giants in front of my though so I kept bumping into them and they finally split apart and I could see a little better. It finished just before 11 and then the 35,000 people all left at once for the Metro. It was packed and took about 25 minutes to walk out to the Metro and get on a train. The first one arrived as soon as we got down to it and we ran in. We then ran out to the next train and Nick and I were the last ones to fit on the train, lol, it was like those packed tokyo trains you see online here. Not as extreme, but like, we barely made it lol. We got off at our stop and then went to find a place to eat. We hadn't eaten all day except for the few snacks and water we brought along with us. We went to a Lebanese place, but it was closed and so we went upstairs to Tim Horton's because that's open 24 hours and we got sandwiches, mmm. We went back to the hotel and went to sleep. 10:31PM

I got up around 8 this morning and showered up. I had breakfast and then went to work from 11-8. Long long day. After I bought some insoles for my shoes since my feet hurt so badly. I went to the UMall and got my check and discovered I was put on the schedule next week to actually work, but didn't notice the hours till I got home, it's only 3.5 hrs. I drove to a place where Nick was hanging out to pick him up. Then we went to his dad's house to get his boots, but realized they are actually at the apartment. We got dinner at McDonalds, came home to do some dishes and then went to sleep. 11:17PM

I got up just before 8 today and had breafkast, got ready, all that good stuff. I went in to work from 10-6. It was a pretty long day and slow again. And my feet were killing me, ugh. They hurt. I was on call from 5-close but luckily they didn't need me. I came home afterward and Nick and I ate a chicken parm sandwich for dinner. Then we went downtown to battery park for a free concert. We sat there with his mom and her friend. It was a nice evening. We walked home after and then watched our taped Big Brother episode. It's hot and I'm kinda ready for bed at this point. 10:41PM
