Happy New Years Eve! I woke up with a terrible headache. I think it's from allergies that I get down here. I took some medicine and had some tea, but I still felt awful. I took a little nap with Lexi and finally I was beginning to feel better. Mom and I later went out to do the rest of our shopping. It was a nice sunny day. We went to Perkin's Rowe and I found a shirt and purse that was on sale at Guess. Then I got a very late lunch at La Madeliene's. I ate it in the car on the way back to the new mall. We bought some pillows and then went to Wal-Mart for some goods. Off to Outback to get some giftcards and they were very understaffed. Poor people who actually wanted to eat there! We came home, made pancakes and that was it! I stayed up until midnight, but went to sleep right after that lol. 5:27PM

I got up and did some laundry. It was a rainy ugly day today. I did my two loads of laundry and once mom got home, we went out to do some shopping in the rain anyway. We first went to the mall and visited Pottery Barn and William Sonoma. Then we went to Hallmark and maybe some other little stores here and there. We wanted to go to other places, but the rain was just awful, so we began our drive back home. We stopped at another Hallmark and then finally got home. For dinner we had ravioli and I watched a little tv later. 5:21PM

Lexi slept with me again, but she also always wakes me up in the morning. And I can never manage to fall back asleep after that. I was up around 8ish. I had breakfast and did the sudoku puzzle. Before noon I went to the mall to use a $15 card I had for express. I ended up with a belt and a scarf that was on sale. I left and then went to Home Depot to get some cardboard boxes. I also went to the bank and sat forever wainting for them to respond at the drive thru. I came home, put some things together and shipped two boxes. But this took a while because the boxes I bought at Home Depot were a bit too big so I had to buy another smaller one. At last I was done and didn't want to go out again. We had pizza for dinner and I watched a little Glee online. 9:33PM

I woke up at 7 to get ready and go to the doctor. This would be my last appointment I have while at home. They took forever and I was finally out of there around 10:10. I then went to Martin's Wine Cellar to find some beer. They had only a small selection. I then went to Calandro's a found a lot. I got Cane's on the way home for lunch and ate the yummy friend chicken right up. I then hung around the house for the rest of the day. I even took a two hour nap. A package also finally arrived for me. I've been waiting for what seems like forever. It was a necklace, and it's nice. Later dad and I had mexican for dinner. 9:29PM

Lexi slept with me and as always woke me up in the morning. I got into the shower and cleaned up. Once ready, I went with dad to Wal-Mart for a few things. We got Jay's donut's on the way. I've been craving those donuts. When I got home, I ate them, mmm. I also brushed Lexi trying to get out more knots. In the afternoon, dad and I went to the casino to play a few slotties (slot machines). It wasn't looking too good at first, but then he kept hitting some good combination's. It was in the end, fairly successful. We came home smelling of smoke. I watched a movie on my computer and talked to Nick. I had leftover ham for dinner and that was it. 11:20PM

I HAVE A NEW LAYOUT. Even though yes all caps is shouting, but I haven't had a new one for three years, to the day actually. There is reason to shout! So how about that? I took the picture back in the fall and I found some cool brushes to fix it up nice. So far I haven't done too much today. The pressure is finally gone in my head, but I'm still stuffed up and have a little sore throat. I don't mind, as long as it's gone for the Vegas trip. Flying and being sick is a miserable thing. Merry Christmas Day! I didn't have any presents to open because we did them all last night. I had some breakfast and then later helped dad put together mom's new present. I also occasionally assisted mom as she was cooking our Christmas dinner. I was trying to get the rolls to rise, but they were being pretty stubborn. Finally we put them in the sun and they jumped right up. Dinner was good when we ate it around 5ish. I had ham, garlic mashed potatoes, 4 rolls (not as good as I use to be), corn on the cob, salad, milk, and I had zero room for dessert, which is a shame. I watched tv, talked on the phone with Nick and later had a video chat with him which was wonderful. Otherwise, it was a pretty relaxing day. I'm still stuffed up and snotty so I'm also just trying to get better. 11:58PM

Merry Christmas Eve! I woke up and jumped into the shower because I was expecting there to be bad weather (aka tornadoes) and I wanted to be ready for anything. I had breakfast and then it was time for the bad line of storms to go over. I saw we were under a tornado warning and this particular area was going to go right over us in about 8ish minutes. I warned everyone and then the warning came up on the tv and it was for real. I grabbed Lexi and got some pillows ready, just in case we had to jump in the tub because of a tornado. Mom even got nervous! Then it got really bad and finally it passed within like 5 minutes. Then immediately we were on the tv that near my old school, just a few miles away by driving, but less than that "as the bird flies", there were apparently a number of trees down! That's probably the closest I've ever been to a potential tornado. Scary! My adrenaline was going for like 30 minutes straight lol. Then it was just regular rain afterwards haha. I wrapped some other presents -some of the things I had bought last night. Then later as everyone else was getting ready to go out to eat, I was in bed relaxing. As of yesterday, I've had a cold. I felt a twinge of a soar throat two nights ago, and then yesterday I became stuffy and today I felt a lot more pressure in my face and stuffiness. We went out to eat at Gino's anyway and it was good!! I opened a present and it was very nice. Thanks! I had lasagna that I was only able to eat half of because it was good and filling. I drove us all home and then we opened presents! Lexi of course went first since she can't contain herself. Even when I was wrapping up hers, she kept trying to rip back into them lol. She's like the little child opening presents. But that was fun and we began to try the new stuff out. I talked to Nick on the phone for a bit and that was it! 10:51PM

I wasn't too hungry this morning so I just had tea for breakfast and did the paper's sudoku. As mom went to bed, dad went out to brave the awful traffic to find mom a present. We went to a few places but found what we wanted at Sears. Before I knew it, we were done and out the door and coming home. Which was good, because it was also just beginning to rain. We stopped at Hallmark and then came home. I then hung around the house doing some random things until mom woke up. Once she did we went out to the Louisiana Nursery to see what they had. We got a few ornaments and then went to Hallmark. It was my 3rd time in 2 days lol. We didn't see anything there we wanted so we checked out Ralph's Market, which is like a little expensive grocery store. I needed some Eggo's. Our time was up and we went over to Outback Steakhouse to pick up our dinner. We came home and ate it and then I watched some Glee repeats on the tv. 10:43PM

I slept in until 8:45ish!! Yes. I got up and got ready. I had a haircut appointment and took off like 3 inches. It looks much better. It needed it badly. I came home and had some lunch. After a while I went back out to get the H1N1 shot. Yes, I finally got it. I then mailed 20 Christmas cards for mom and then I bought some Christmas cards at Hallmark. Woo they were expensive for 2 cards: $7. I came home and got caught up on Desperate Housewives. I had missed a lot of drama! It's still a good show. Dad brought home some Cane's for me and it was greasy and delicious lol. And salty and buttery. I later watched Home Alone on tv and some other shows. Oh and I also heard back form the guy. He doubled the offer. I accepted. I mean, it's definitely, totally worth more, but I got my minimum, and I just want to get this ball rolling now and get my check in time before my Vegas trip. 11:29PM

I only slept in until 7, so I got up anyway and got ready for the day. I first went out to the eye doctor. I arrived on time despite the traffic and then waited 25 minutes to be seen. I did some tests and seeing things and turns out my eyes haven't changed since the surgery. Yay! And the flap still looks great. And my puffy eyelid is probably just allergy issues. I then drove home and ate some lunch: leftover pizza. I then later went back out for my dental appointment. That was torture. I feel like I just bleed the entire time. I came home and then didn't do much. I talked to Nick and debated an email about the CD compensation. I wasn't to happy about it, so I sent a response back basically wanting something better, so we shall see. In other news, I somehow pulled off a 93 on my AIS exam, the last one I took on Friday that I thought was a disaster. I thought she curved it, but turns out she didn't. Not bad! Sadly I needed a 96 in order to get an A-, so I won't get one. :( Later mom made dinner and we went to the grocery store after, which could have been dangerous, but it actually wasn't. I couldn't manage to sleep in at all today. I got up 6:30 and stayed in bed with Lexi until 7. I cleaned up and then had breakfast. When mom was ready we went out shopping, but I just wasn't seeing anything that I liked. And we also got lunch at La Madeliene's, so yummy. I ended up getting only a sweatshirt. We then ran over to Sam's and Kohl's for a tiny bit. We picked up some fast food for both dad and myself, and then we came home. I ate and Jamie wanted me to go over. I avoided her last night since I was tired, so I felt I should go over tonight. I was there for like 1.5 hours, but left at 10, because I had doctor appointments the next day. I also got to see a mock up of what the CD will look like with my picture. It's really cool to see, I'm pumped. Now we just need to come to some compensation agreement, which may be difficult. 4:24PM

Before I knew it, I was up at 2:45 in order to get ready for my plane. I did my last minute packing and we were out the door at 4:30. We drove to the airport and I checked in. Good my flight wasn't delayed or canceled. I said bye to Nick and went through security. I waited for my plane we got de-iced at 6 and left around 6:22. I flew to Cleavland and we landed early. I went to my next gate and they were ready to board me. They were asking for people to get bumped, but there were two open seats next to me so I don't understand why. And they didn't threaten us to take off luggage as a weight issue. Oh well. I was on the aisle and some other guy was on my right and then an empty window seat was for a pilot that was traveling. I jumped up waiting for him to crawl in but then suggested we move over instead, as it would be "easier." The other guy did and I was like no, I'm good where I am. And the pilot took the middle seat and was pissed. Sorry, my aisle seat was paid for! I'm gonna sit here. He spotted an open aisle seat and moved not 2 minutes later. Ha. How about that? We got de-iced again and I was on my way to Houston at 8:30ish. I landed around 11 I think. I then had a couple of hours and I wanted to get something eat. All morning I had felt terrible with a headache and some nausea. I got a smoothie and a blueberry muffin and it was delicious, exactly what I wanted. So then we left at 1:30 and landed in Baton Rouge at 2:15. I got my luggage and met up with dad. We then picked up some meat and then came home. I bonded for a while and unpacked all of my stuff and opened up packages. We later had dinner: pizza. It was good. I felt so exhausted though, I went to sleep around 9:30. 4:19PM

Friday, I was back up at 6 this morning to get ready and go to my final exam: AIS. I left early in order to get an outlet. Then we began the test and it was tough, because we had to search for things that weren't clearly described and it was difficult for everyone. I was there for almost 4 hours. We all stayed late trying to figure out the answers because we refused to leave lol. I turned in what I had and just left. I had to return Sarah's extension cord thing to her at work. So I took the bus to the gym and dropped it off. I then walked over to the Davis Center and return that book for a little bit of money. I then went to see Nick at work. He had lunch with me. I walked home and waited for some packages to arrive. Once they did I went over to Bed, Bath, & Beyond to get my last check. I deposited that and my $50 that I received from doing a survey! woohoo. I came home and waited around for Nick. He came home and I began to do a little packing and cleaning up. We later went out to dinner with his dad at Roque's. It was tasty. We came home and watched a littlelast bit of tv but I was tired so we went to sleep around 10ish. 4:15PM

Thursday: I got up early to get ready for my Tax exam. I went was there for a long time, hours. Some of it was hard, some of it was easy. I came after and then went to go to laundry. I still have one more exam, but I won't need to study much. And I can't, because it's all about using a program: Dynamics. After I came home, I did study for like 2 hours though, on just notes. Then I took a nap until Nick came home. We made jambalaya for dinner and watched a little tv toc lose out the night. Oh and we opened up presents! He got me an umbrella, a stuffed westie animal, so cute, some dog biscuits with a westie on the front lol, Santa Buddies-a puppy movie which we watched, and maybe something else. I can't remember at the moment. Oh, the Kate Gosselin book, Eight Little Faces, now my collection is complete. The other exciting part of my day was that I got an email from a musician that would like to use one of my Alaskan photos to be album art/cover for his new CD. That would be so cool, and I really want to. But what's riding on it, is if I can scan the negative (since it's film) and make it big enough to be printed and look good. And of course, that film somehow got damaged. Either by me, or the people processing the film, or from the airport. So a lot's against me. And of course, the negative is in Louisiana, so I have to wait until I get home. 11:18PM

Wednesday: I spent hours and hours studying for Tax. After like 7 hours it was really hard to stay motivated, but I got through it all. For dinner we made this japanese chicken fried chicken. It was pretty good, but took a while to do. We only watched Nip/Tuck and then called it a night. 11:13PM

Tuesday: Today I had my 146, Networking, exam. I got up around 6 in order to study a tiny bit and get ready. It didn't start till 9 though. I took the exam, and it was pretty decent. So we'll see how it goes. After I went with Nick to return some books and then said bye to him as he went to work. I came home and relaxed a tiny bit, but got to work on studying for Tax, the one I'm probably worried most about. I spent the rest of the day working on cheat sheets and got really far. There wasn't any tv on and for dinner, we went out to eat with his mom, to Vermont Pub & Brewery. I got some crazy pasta dish trying to be adventurous. That was pretty much it. 11:11PM

I got to sleep in since I didn't have any exams today. But I spent 6-7 hours of my day studying for 146, or networking. Bleh, this stuff goes over my head and it's so dry and hard to learn about for hours on end. But I felt good. I took a little break for lunch and that was it. Nick and I made burgers for dinner, another break and we studied up until Cake Boss at 9. A thrilling day. 2:44PM

I got up around 9 in order to shower and get going. Nick and I first went to the grocery store and got our food for the week. We came home and I worked on my last 146 homework that will be due on the exam day, Tuesday. It took hours to do. Just really long and stuff. I did begin to study but had to walk up for my sorority meeting. It was snowing and icy out so I didn't drive. Meeting was fine. We had to vote on the slate and then go through it which took a long time, an hour and a half. But lucky me got to count the votes, muwhaha! I was going to get a ride home by Emily, but she had to stay behind and talk with the adviser since she's on the new Exec board. After 30 minutes I gave up and Nick picked me up and brought me home. I made cookies that were delicious and we watched our Sunday shows. The Dexter season finale was crazy! but good too. And that was pretty much it. 2:43PM

I slept in till about 9 I guess. I dedicated this day to a little Tax work. I get to have an unlimited amount of notes for that exam, as long as it's handwritten. Right now I've got about 135 pages of notes from the chapters and I've got the quizzes covered. So this day, I wrote out the questions and answers to the 2 midterms we had. That took a while. In the middle of the day Nick and I went to this Play Dog Play place. They were having a little holiday fair and I got Lexi a little present. We also saw a Westie!!! I really didn't think we would, as this is the dog Nick and I hope to get in a few years. Her name will be Louixlee, lol, or how to say it: Lou-ly. Full name: Louixlee White-Out Katie. White-out as in a blizzard lol. And Katie because we slap Katie onto everything lol. Anyway, I had done a survey online and gotten a $10 gift card to Starbucks so we went there and got two holiday lattes. I got caramel brule and Nick got the peppermint one. Both were good. He dropped me off so I could continue to work on tax. A couple hours later we walked downtown to get his mom a present and he got something too. We came home and made a pizza. We watched tv and movies on tv. 10:02PM

First final exam day. I got up early, at 5:30 to shower, eat and get a tad more studying in. At 7:30 Nick and I began to walk up to class. We first had 144, our database class. It began by trying to access this multiple choice test over a mapped server, but it didn't show up. So we began on part 2, a written part. We turned that in and at last began the multiple choice part. Nick was the first to submit it and announced that it failed to submit his 50 answers. So, if for one reason, the server losses internet connection for a split second, all test will fail and have an error. This happened to everyone, including me and we had to redo it. This took up a lot of time and the professor was pissed. So he's going to curve it and then give us an extra 5 points, so that will be wonderful. We then began on part 3 with SQL. It was tough, but I had good answers, so I turned that in. It's a 3 hour time block and it took nearly the entire time. I left with just like 5 minutes left. That's probably the longest exam I've ever been in. Nick and I then went to turn a few books in. I used what little time I had left and studied some History. I got out at 10:55 and my next exam was at 11:45. I walked over some 15-20 minutes before and got comfortable. I studied a little more and then began that exam. That only took 40 minutes and was a regular hand written "blue book" exam. with essays. I came home and relaxed! I played Lego Indiana and for dinner Nick and I made mac and cheese. I slept in until about 9 and I felt more rested than I normally do. I didn't have anything to do today, but study for my exams. I finished my essay and studied more. I also made a cheat sheet for 144. Later in the evening I went to Magic Hat for Nick to get him some fancy beers. But my main reason for being out was to go to the Humane Society to get some training. I applied to volunteer there back in the end of October, but couldn't go to the first training in November because I had the Logic Supply open house, and the next available one was tonight. So I went for an hour and a half. It seems pretty nice. And I'll get my fill of cute animals. No I won't be "socializing" with the cats or dogs. Although that really is a position. I'll be feeding them in the morning once a week next semester. I'm also partially doing it for the sorority too. It won't be demanding in the least though so that's good. There were a lot of mothers there with their young sons, I wonder if they knew each other. I don't know, I was a little surprised by it. After I came home and Nick and I made some pork chops for dinner. We watched some tv and I did the last of my studying. 3:40PM

Last day of Monday & Wednesday classes! I started with 144 and we took a few quizzes and wrapped some things up. I then has AIS and we played Jeopardy in preparation for our final. I even answered a few! I stood up in front of the whole class too! lol. Sadly, my team lost with $-800 lol. I then came home deciding that the snow was too much. It's been snowing like crazy today, but in the end we only got about 3-5 inches of snow. I was going to go the Marche for lunch, but didn't want to deal with the snow and I decided to skip my History review. That's ok. Instead I'll work on my History essay. I come home, eat lunch and then try to think this essay out. I'm struggling. I just don't know what to write. After a number of hours I finally get a good chunk of it down. Later I make some ravioli for dinner and watch some Wednesday night shows with Nick. 3:35PM

Tuesday, which meant last day of Tuesday classes. I first had 146 and we covered new material and then got to hack into each others computer and take control with a simple program. Sarah said she would try this on her roommate later. She did and her roommate thought she had some sort of virus and shut down her computer lol. I then went upstairs and did a tiny bit of homework that I could, but I ran out of stuff to do. I then finally got to tax and we got out nice and early. I came home and tried to write my history paper, but I had a question, so I emailed the professor to get some clarification, but no response so I didn't get that done. Nick and I made some chicken, peas, and rice a roni for dinner and we that was pretty much it. 3:30PM

Second to last day of Monday/Wednesday classes. And there was like half an inch of snow on the ground! Yay! First day of a measurable snow shower this year. It hasn't been this late since 1939! I first had 144. Then I had AIS and we finished up Dynamics. I can't wait to uninstall that thing. It's taking up a lot of space. We got out a little early, and I came home to eat some lunch. I hiked back up for my History class. I came back home and watched a little DVR stuff and then did my last homework for 144. Nick and I made dinner: spaghetti and chicken parmesan. It was yummy. We watched a little Monday night tv and then called it a night. There's a lot of shows that are wrapping up, which is perfect since it's near exam time. 11:26PM

I got up around 9 I suppose. I cleaned up, had some tea, and then Nick and I were off to Costco to get some goods. We then drove over to Price Chopper to get our groceries. We unloaded and then I began to work on some more homework that lasted for the rest of the day. I later had to go to campus for my sorority meeting. I was nervous. We revealed the slate and people were pissed. And we soon left and had to go to a holiday party. I was afraid the slating would kill the mood, but luckily people faked it and were happy for it. I left after an hour or so. I was hungry and wanted dinner. So I made scrambled eggs for dinner. I later watch the Amazing Race, Dexter, and then Californication. 11:22PM

Saturday! I had to do a ton of errands. I saw it may snow so I had to do them earlier than I had intended. I first got ready and then left to get my check at work. I deposited it before the bank closed and then went to the laundromat for my laundry. It was busy there. I left during the dryer mode and went to Big Lots and found some cheap, nice, pretty glass ornaments and one pair of colored lights. Oh and some garland. I got my laundry and then came home. I immediately went with Nick to go see some 2 bedroom apartments. They were gross. Boys were currently living there, so that may explain it. We came home, made the bed, put the laundry away and I finally began some homework. Nick went out and bought a 6ft Christmas tree for $35. We then decorated it and it looks very nice. Smells like Christmas. I haven't had a real tree in years. I like it. I did some more homework and later watched some more DVR-ed tv. I also made pizza for dinner. And that was my exciting Saturday. 11:16PM

Alrighty, so I got up and cleaned up. I drove Nick up to campus because he had heavy package to ship. I came home and began to work on my homework. I had class at 1:55 and got out at 2:45. I came home and it was nice knowing I didn't have to rush off to work. I did nothing. I've been out every night and I just wanted to stay put. However, I did have to hike back up to campus. I'm on the slating committee for the new sorority positions, so I had to go to that for a few hours. It was tough work. I had made pasta roni for dinner and began to catch up on a ton of DVR-ed shows that I missed due to working. I also played a tiny bit of Lego Indiana Jones 2. 11:13PM

It was raining this morning. So yucky out. As we walked up to campus Nick and I got soaked. We were in the lab for 146 today to work with our virtual machines again. Then I went upstairs to do some random catch up work and then I went to Tax. We got out nice and early. I came home, ate some lunch and did a tiny bit of homework and was off to work for my final night. Thank goodness. Don't think I can take anymore. I need to catch up on some school work. Of course my last night was really hectic. But that was it besides that. 10:15PM

I started with 144. We had a quiz and it was fine. I then went to AIS and we worked more with Microsoft Dynamic. I then came home for a little lunch and to continue reading my Japan Inc book. I then went to my History class and we discussed the book. I came home and got ready for work and off I went for another 4-10. Oh and for some reason I woke up with a puffy right eye this morning. It was odd. That was the only thing wrong and by the middle of the day it had gone down half way. 10:08PM

I first had my 146 class. We learned some new stuff about cables. Then I went upstairs to read my History book Japan Inc. It's a comic book we needed to read over break, but I had nearly no time. Luckily it's a comic book and I fly right through it. I then went to Tax after a while and we did some new stuff there as well. I came home and made a pizza. I ate a little lunch, and then left for work, doing 4-10 again. When I was driving to work there was a little more snow flying around. But nothing was sticking anywhere. It was next to nothing and by the time I got out it had stopped. 10:05PM
