Back to work today. It was a little slippery out there, but no falls, yay! I came home and we had some chicken rice a roni. We watched tv and that was really about all of it. We're just getting back into routine. 9:53PM

My stuffed animal, a cow named Moo Katie, fell off the bed this morning. As I reached down to grab her, I smashed my head into the corner of the nightstand next to me. It hurt quite a bit. I think I went back to sleep though. Of course the alarm in the room was set, and it went off at 8:20, so that's when we woke up. I had to jump out of bed to figure out how to turn the stupid thing off. I got into the shower and then Nick had his turn. We began our journey to find a breakfast place. We like Tim Horton's, it's this donut, breakfast type of place. I like them a lot, but they pretty much only in Canada. I've seen them in Maine or New Hampshire, but nothing near me. We were hoping to find something like that for breakfast, but Quebec is not a very touristy place and it's not exactly a cheap place. There's a lot of fine dining, so a Tim Horton's wouldn't fit in. I did see a McDonalds and Subway, but that was it for fast food. Anyway, so we wandered around for quite a while. We finally found this cafe across the street from where we had dinner. I got a bagel and a soda and Nick got some croissant sandwich. The place was really empty. I guess not much is open on Sundays, or we thought maybe they were at church. Anyway, we walked back to the hotel and grabbed our things. We put them in the car and then spent the next 15 minutes running up and down stairs to try to figure out how the hell we could pay for the parking garage so we could get out. All the machines we saw were for cash, but we saw Visa and Mastercard. All the wording was in French so we weren't really sure. After a while we saw the actual exit had a person that could accept the credit. So we drove up and got out fine. We began our journey back. We didn't make any stops until the boarder. We went in the duty free shop and I got some eyeliner that I've been needing from Clinique. We then sat at the boarder for 20 minutes and finally got through. It definitely takes longer getting back in. We were on our way again. After a while in Vermont it started snowing again, boo. We went to the grocery store and we did the best we could since I left the list in the car and didn't feel like going back out to get it. We came home and unloaded everything. I then did laundry and it became dark outside. We had some chicken and then some mac and cheese later in the evening lol. And of course we rounded out the night watching some Sunday tv shows. 9:59PM

I woke up at 6 and got ready. I packed some things and Nick and I loaded up the car around 8. We got on the road and began our trip to Quebec, Quebec. It was a little snowy out, but it was still a decent drive. We stopped in Swanton for gas and some Canadian money. We got to the boarder and there was not a car in front of us. There have been times we have waited such a long time to get across. It was really nice just pulling up and getting through. Oddly enough, my car's speedometer doesn't have Kilometers on it. So we were just winging it for a while. All the while I was searching through the manual to see if we could change the units. I found the units setting and we changed it to kilometers per hour and distance. But it didn't change the active speed. Hm. I looked some more and at last I found a conversion thing for us. We had to select an additional speed and then it popped right up. Yay! Now we will know the correct speed to go. Haha, it was interesting. I was going to be sad if my car couldn't switch, but we at last figured it out. We then drove some back roads but got back on an interstate. We stopped at a McDonalds at 11, just as it became lunch food. Good, that's what we were wanting. We got our food and kept driving. We arrived at our hotel, the Hilton, around 1, but it was still too early to check in. So we parked the car and began to walk around exploring. All the while there's this big carnival going on called the Winter Carnival. It's the biggest one around and they have all kinds of activities. When we showed up they happened to be right in the middle of dog sledding right in the streets. Nick and I watched that for a little bit. We went into the walled portion of the city to walk around. We were next to the dog sledding so we couldn't go too far. We walk down this long road and got to the end. There was a fort, but we decided to get Nick some coffee at Starbucks. He was a little tired. We went back outside and began to climb up the fort. It was covered in snow so the stairs were pretty much useless. The fort had a few different levels and I took pictures from each one. At last we got to the top, or what I thought was the top. It was just the top of the wall of the fort. We walked along the top and then found ourselves in the middle of the carnival. We watched some tubing and checked out what else was happening. We saw sleighs being pulled by horses and then we decided to go back to our hotel since it would be ready now. We went a little out of the way to get Nick some beer at a beer store he discovered earlier. I got our room keys and we brought our stuff up to the room. The room was very nice and clean. We had a great view of the city on the ninth floor. We relaxed for a while. Nick had some beers. I had one. It was getting dark out so we went out to find a place to eat. We went to this particular road that had a bunch of food places on it. We searched, but a lot were expensive. We decided on a Lebanese place since we can't get it at home. It was delicious. So yummy. I was really really pleased. We then went to this cigar bar that Nick also had wanted to go to. We tried a cigar in this loungey place and just relaxed. I had a water. When we were done we were ready to go back to the hotel, but Nick wanted a cheap bottle of wine we could drink. We looked for a convenience store, but there really wasn't anything. We walked in circles. After a while we went to the hotel and asked where we could find one. Luckily one was close in the other direction. We found the wine and we got a snack of waffles too. We get to the room and we don't have a corkscrew. So! We just put it away lol. It's just now 8pm, but we're done for the day. Very tired after all our walking. And on snow, which is very difficult and exhausting. Half the channels were french, and the remaining ones were either news or crime dramas. There was a single movie on, on ABC, Dreamgirls. Lol, so we watched that. The movie kept going and going though and I never saw the end because I fell asleep after 10. 10:02PM

Had a good day at work. After, I came home and made a pasta roni dinner. We ate it up and then I went to the Outdoor Gear Exchange to buy some warmer snow-ish pants. It was a little hard finding something the right size and also the right length. I'm a shorty. I came home and watched some tv that was on the DVR. Nick picked me up at 9:30 and we went to the Davis Center. Tonight was the Chili Cook Off, and also the start of informal recruitment for the sororities. Nick and I walked around as he tried chili. We visited my table and said hello. We grabbed some other free food that was placed out for us. After a while, we left and came home to go to sleep. 10:55PM

Happy Founder's Day to Kappa Alpha Theta. After work I rushed home and ate another round of salad with chicken. I wasn't too hungry. I then drove up to Waterman for a little ceremony of this day. We did a service and then had some cake. I got to see Sophie for the first time in about a month, so that was really nice. I talked for a while, but then people were packing up to go home. I drove back home and Nick and I started to watch Thursday night tv. We made some grilled cheeses again as a second dinner. 9:57PM

I was thrilled to see the high of the day reach the low 20's. It's going to feel great outside. No more frozen nostrils. It's a very strange sensation when that occurs in the super cold weather. After work, Nick and I cooked some chicken to put on salads as our dinner. We also made a grilled cheese later, lol. No tv, so we watched some DVRed things. The showing apparently went well according to Nick. Hopefully someone will sign and we won't need to show again. 9:55PM

It was another cold morning, floating around the negatives and zero. I really just want it to warm up a little. I came home and did some cleaning. I vacuumed and did a wipe down of the kitchen. Tomorrow we were having an apartment viewing. I figure, the nicer it appears, the less showings we'll have because someone will want to grab it. Nick came home and we made some spaghetti. We ate a ton, because it was still a little cold. We tried to catch up on tv because oddly enough there is nothing we watch both Tuesday and Wednesday nights. 9:57PM

It was very cold in our apartment this morning. I think the low 60s. Our heat just could not keep up with this extreme cold. So we cranked it and it made it a little better. The walk to work though was brutal. I was so cold. I kept my jacket and gloves on for a while at work trying to readjust to the warmth. It was just awful. I mean, it was -7 out. Freezing. Anyway by the end of the day, it was a tad warmer. It wasn't as painful, but still very cold. I got home and had a Smart Ones for dinner. Nick was doing another exam. He got home and we watched some tv. 9:54PM

We got up and were starving, but we've really cleared out the house as far as breakfast foods. We got dressed and had breakfast at McDonalds. It was also -4 outside. Freezing! Well we then went to Price Chopper for our groceries. We came home and I watched a bunch of Desperate Housewives shows online. I was behind on those too. Then we watched a movie together. Before I knew it, I needed to change and get ready for my sorority meeting. I ran around like crazy, but at last got out the door. The walk to the car was painfully cold. It's like -7 out. With a windchill even lower. This cold is just awful. I get to Waterman and try to warm up. Meeting was good, but two hours. Yikes! It was nice seeing people. I drove home and again the walk was painful. My fingers were killing me. It was truly bone chilling cold. I could feel my bones aching. Wowie. I kept my gloves on in the house and warmed them up under Nick's legs lol. At last I was fine and we went to sleep. I was noticing that tonight we would really need to crank the heat up. It's suppose to get down to -22. 10:03PM

Didn't get a great amount of sleep last night because the kids upstairs were obnoxious. And despite the extreme temperatures, there were still a ton of people out and about making a lot of noise. I didn't exactly sleep in either. I got up and got cleaned up. I made some breakfast and watched some DVRed shows while I did a load of laundry. Nick and I hung out for a while, but then I helped him run a few errands around town. Then I dropped him off at a friends house. I went to the parking garage, but I went up and down twice trying to find a spot. The lot said it was open, but since the snow is covering the parking lines, people were parking over them, making less spots. I finally got one. I ran down to Church Street and got a big burrito, well caesar wrap, at Boloco. I went back to my car and drove home. I got home and ate the thing right up. It was delicious. I talked with mom for a while and then watched some movies on tv and read a magazine because I'm super behind. It was in the negatives outside and people were still out being loud. But, they were falling down on ice and I could hear their wipeouts. 10:57PM

Friday! The walk was extremely cold. Luckily it wasn't windy. Nick says it has snowed 40 our of the past 50 days. Today was not one of them though, yay. I had Nick meet me after work at VT Pub & Brewery for some dinner. We got cheesy fries for an appetizer and then a pulled pork "pie" with corn and mashed potatoes for dinner and a brownie sundae for dessert. Yum! We had a gift card. We walked home, and it was again freezing. I caught up on all kinds of tv and stayed up late. 10:58PM

Today it snowed another 2 inches. Tomorrow it's suppose to be like a high of 5 or 7, very very cold. Nick was proctoring again so I had a Smart Ones dinner that I find to be so yummy. He got home just in time for some Thursday night tv. That was really pretty much it. Oh so somehow the neighbors broke the storm door handle last time too. I don't know how they manage to break stuff. I told the landlord this morning and he was literally over in 10 minutes. 9:55PM

Brr and another snow storm for us. It snowed yesterday like 4 inches and today another 3. Nick was proctoring an exam so I made some pasta roni for dinner. When he got home we watched some tv until it was time for bed. 9:53PM

And now today it was in the upper 20s! They issued a parking ban because they thought there would be a storm coming through. A storm did come, but maybe 3-4 inches of snow fell. So they canceled the ban. Nick cooked spaghetti. It was a new box and this box has 24 servings. So I normally mark each serving with a line so we know how much to cook. Nick does know this, so tried to make his own lines. But he made too many lines and we were a little low on spaghetti. Lol. That's ok, we also had meatballs, so we were plenty full. 10:00PM

When I went to work today, the temperature was -3. It was quite cold! But no wind, which was a good thing. Otherwise, it would have been brutal. When I got home, I was one my own, because today Nick had the day off. During his day, he went to get a foot long sandwich, so he wasn't exactly hungry for dinner haha. There was a ton of tv on tonight. That's about it. It is cold cold. 10:18PM

We woke up and had some breakfast. I had a toaster strudel and Nick had some toast and scrambled eggs. The bread was at last defrosted. We went to the grocery store and did our thing. As we were checking out Nick was saying every item we purchased in German. If he didn't know the word, he just stuck the word "das" in front of it's English name. It was funny. We came home and I read some of a magazine and we watched more tv. I ended up falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon, but woke back up and watched some of the Golden Globes previews. I then watched the show and that means, stayed up late - till 11. I went to sleep promptly after the show though. 10:54PM

Sort of slept in. Got up and got dressed. We didn't really have any breakfast foods so we decided to go out to eat for breakfast. We went to Penny Cluse. They said it would be 35-40 minutes, but I said we ought to stick it out. It didn't seem like many were in front of us and people were getting up to leave frequently. I feel like a hostess needs to exaggerate a bit. Better to be earlier instead of having people wait over the time they said. In the end, it took 12 minutes. That's not bad at all. We sat down and ordered our food. I got some french toast with a lot of fruit on top. It was yummy. We came home very full and then Nick decided to do some early-spring cleaning. He grabbed his tubs from the basement and went through them hoping to throw some stuff away. We did. When it comes down to it, that could mean one or two less trips from a truck to the apartment when we move. He felt better lol. I did a load of laundry and then we watched some tv. I ate leftover pizza for dinner and stayed a little later than normal. 10:51PM

The sidewalks were still pretty bad today. I didn't fall down, so that's always a big success. Work was good. I got out, came home, and talked with mom for a while. Then I cooked a pizza and watched some DVRed shows. I then played on the compy for a few hours and did some things here and there to catch up on. 10:44PM

When I woke up it has snowed some more and they had done a lot of street plowing. No one was allowed to park on the street - "Parking Ban." But the sidewalks had yet to be properly attended. It has snowed a solid 10+ inches. Yikes! I began my way to work and saw how bad the sidewalks were. I tried a few paths, but they were all terrible. I had to cross a street because the sidewalk was not plowed for half a block and there was a huge mound of snow blocking the path - taller than me. Annoying. Anyway. I was very sweaty and hot when I got to work - it's a big work out walking on snow. We still went out to lunch, but the sidewalks were still tricky. By the time I came home, the mound of snow was still blocking the sidewalk. Annoying. Anyway, I got home and Nick and I decided to go to Roque's to eat. We dug the car out from the snow and got there. Dinner was very yummy, but I was cold in the restaurant. We came home and relaxed for the rest of the evening. 9:49PM

I got to work and it was barley snowing, and nothing was on the ground. But by the time I got out, there was a solid 7-8 inches on the ground. Some people left early to get home since we were hearing the roads were awful. Someone volunteered to take me home. It was very nice because I noticed practically nothing had been plowed. They're expecting more snow, so Burlingotn's being a little lax about the whole thing until it finishes. I got home and made some dinner - Jambalaya. Nick had eaten "5 slices of pizza" at work for lunch so wasn't hungry. Lol, 5 slices. He never eats that much. But he can't deny free food. My dinner was good though. We watched some shows and called it a night. 9:44PM

Apparently there's a large winter storm coming and will be here tomorrow. Work was good. We made Tacos for dinner and it was delicious. Not all much happened after work. Watched some tv, relaxed. However, after staying up until 11 the past two nights, I found myself falling asleep on the couch - at 8:30. Guess I'm tired! I took a slight nap out there, but got ready for bed and hopped into bed for 10 and was asleep. 9:41PM

Had work. Came home from work. Nick cooked chicken rice a roni. It was yummy. I stayed up late to watch the crazy season finale of Hoarders. I like that show. It keeps me from becoming one. Anyone else watch that show? I feel like that have a pretty big audience, and you don't know people watch it, until one person announces it and then others chime in saying they watch it too. That's my experience anyway. But I got to bed late and now it'll be hard waking up the next morning. 11:02PM

I slept in till 9, that's pretty solid. We got up, got cleaned up, and had a little breakfast. Nick watched the last Godfather movie and I did compy things. When I say compy, I mean computer. Compy. We got groceries around before 3 and came back home. We walked to KKD and got sandwiches. Well I got a chicken caesar wrap. Then we stopped at Ben & Jerry's for some tasty milkshakes. They are just so good. We came home and watched some more movies and then it was dark outside! That happened really quick haha. Some new shows started on Showtime tonight. So I got bed later than I would have liked. 9:59PM

I slept in a little, but then got up to start the day. I made some tea. We then drove to see his mom at work and got a sandwich for lunch. It really filled me up. We drove back home and then watched a bunch of movies. It snowed through the night and I guess we got around 4 inches. It's apparently suppose to snow even more this weekend,but I don't see it on the radar. I was pretty full from that sandwich early, so I had a little dinner. I stayed up late watching SNL. but then called it a night. 11:04PM

Friday! I wear jeans on Fridays so on days I do not, I get confused on which day it is, or feel like it'll be the weekend the next day. Haha, that's sort of neat and strange at the same time. Well work was good. Got a lot done. I came home and we ate a pizza. We watched some movies and that was pretty much it. 11:01PM

As I'm getting ready in the morning, Nick texts me from the comfort of his office to tell me that he thinks he spotted a box of guinea pigs. He didn't expect to see something furry with eyes looking at him, so he got a little freaked out. So he insists I now have to check on it because now he realizes he should have done something lol. So I finish getting ready and go check out this house that had them. But nothing is there now. Not much time had passed so perhaps the house they were sitting on took them inside. We don't even know for sure if they were truly even guinea pigs. But it was still a very strange morning. I go to work and have a good day. I get salads for lunch too. When I got home, we decided to go to Friendly's for dinner. I got chicken tenders with some fries, and a milkshake and I pretty much ate the whole thing. I was very close. Very full. I'm finding it interesting now to see all the calories in menu items these days. I guess they're required to list it. It won't change my decision of what I want. It's nice to know, but if I really wanted to pay attention to calories I wouldn't eat out. We go home and watch some tv before it's bedtime. However, I've been going to sleep later than normal this week and it sure makes me tired. 9:59PM

For dinner Nick and I had chicken pasta roni. We ate in the kitchen haha. It's funny because we haven't really eaten in there for so long. In the summer it's way too hot in there, so we went to the living room because there were fans there. So it kinda stuck. We did eat in the kitchen for Christmas Day when Nick's mom was over, to be like normal people. I'm sure we'll be back in the living room though after tonight. 10:03PM

I was tired the next day, but I could tell others were too lol. But everything was good. I came home and had pork chops with Nick for dinner. Corn too! There's still not much for tv this week. Some things are kicking back in. It's also that time of the year to renew this website. So I did. Didn't think twice this time. 10:02PM

The three day weekend is over and now it's back to work. Work was good though. We all stayed a little late because there would be a celebration dinner thing because of all the work we've done. I rode with two other people to the event. We were one of the first few people there. We were handed two free alcoholic beverage coupons and we found a spot. We had some appetizers and got drinks. Then the meal would at start. I got a fancy salad, then the entree which was some chicken dish. It was a ton of food. We then got dessert. I had a brownie sundae, yum!!! And a cup of coffee. I was totally stuffed by the end. We left and I got dropped off. We were there for a very long time but it was a really good time. It was also super late by the time I got home - past my bedtime anyway. So I went straight to sleep. 11:00PM

We got up and went to fill up the car with fuel. Then we stopped at Bed, Bath, & Beyond to grab a new mat for the bathroom - to step out onto when you get out of the shower. Then we went to the grocery and stocked up the house. We came home and Nick wanted Indian food so I went with him to a place downtown called Shalimar of India. They had a buffet and I tried a few different rices and some other things to go with the rice. It was yummy what I got. Nick ate a ton and was full the rest of the day lol. After I wanted a milkshake so we stopped by Ben & Jerry's and got a milkshake. They was a ginormous line. It was really crazy. Oh, it's been quite warm this weekend, even reached the low 50s! So all the snow has melted away. It's strange to see grass again. 9:59PM

Nick and I got up and just had a relaxing day at home. We really didn't think anything would be open so we barely left the house. We some mashed potatoes for lunch lol. Later in the evening we went to Rite Aid for some popcorn, and I got a few other snacks too. We came home and watched a few movies. It was a good date night inside. 9:55PM
