Saturday! We slept in and started the day kind of slow. Nick and I watched some tv and when it was around 3 we drove over to his dad's place. We all drove down to Waterbury to eat at The Alchemist. They have a beer there that Nick likes a lot and it only comes out a few times a year. So you kind of have to jump on it whenever you see it. We arrived when they just started serving food so we finally got a place to sit. I got a chicken quesadilla and I only ate half of it because I was so full. They wrapped the rest up for me and we began our drive back to town. We dropped Nick's dad off and then we went home. We were totally stuffed but wanted to go enjoy being outside. It was another cool day. We walked down Church Street looking at puppies the whole time. We walked back the other direction and stopped at Starbucks to get a drink. We sat outside there for a while doing some more puppy and people watching. We came back home and I was asleep by midnight. 10:51PM

Work was good. Another week flew by. Been there for 3.5 weeks now. Can't believe that much time has passed by already. It felt really amazing outside when I got out. It was in the 60's and the breeze felt cool. When I got home, I did some laundry and was chilly in my shorts. Nick got home from running errands. We decided to go eat at Chili's for dinner. Eating out will be my "spending money." Otherwise, I don't foresee buying much of anything else regularly. Besides candy perhaps haha. We had a good time at Chili's, got a drink each and dinner. We came home and that was pretty much it. Just trying to work away at all the tv shows we have lined up. It's nice to relax though. 10:07PM

I woke up feeling totally exhausted today. Once I get to work though I snap awake and have no problem the rest of the day. I drove to work. I got salads with my boss for lunch. After work I drove over to Plato's Closet in an attempt to sell a few shirts. I'd throw them out anyway, so why not try. They only took one, and for only $3.15 lol. Oh well. I came home and watched a little tv and Nick finally came home. His summer night class is at last over, yay. We made taco's for dinner. They were really really yummy. I went to sleep early tonight so I wouldn't feel so tired th next day. 10:02PM

When I got out of work I tried to catch up on some tv, but I didn't get very far. Nick came home and we made dinner. I used the rest of the angel hair pasta since I can't figure out it's proportions right haha. This time I had a ton left over. We watched some stuff but I went to sleep early again. 9:56PM

I drove to work and had a good day there. After I drove to te grocery store for an exciting shopping hour. There were lots of "young professionals" there with there "regular" roommates. I'm judging by their clothing lol. It's for real though. It's just out of college guys and girls, some in like suits or business type clothes and their friends in like jeans, shorts, t-shirts. I was dressed up! haha. I found it entertaining. Well I came home and then realized I didn't remember to drop my groceries off at the house so I just lugged them back and forth a few times. Nick and I made some chicken helper stuff that was interesting but not worth getting again. We watched DVRed stuff. That's a growing list that never seems to get any shorter. 10:22PM

I'm really torn over going to sleep early. I've got only 4 hours in the evening to have dinner, do whatever I need to do around the house or run errands and find time to just do nothing and relax. If I stay up late, I'll only get like six and a half hours or maybe 7. But I can't be tired, so that leaves it to just a few hours in the evening. Maybe there will be more hours in the day. Someday. haha. Anyway, work was good. I After work Nick and I had an eventful night! We really did! I even went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I got a new drying rack, but I discovered I got a tiny one and need to return it. I also got a new plastic shower curtain since the mildew is just out of control at the moment. It's truly a never ending battle with mildew. So after that we came home and made some dinner: mac and cheese. It did the trick and filled me up but I had to go to bed not much longer after that. 10:17PM

Nick and I went to City Market for some grocery shopping. I felt like we didn't get much but it cost a lot. Bleh. We walked home and it was hot hot. It felt nice out when we started but we changed our minds by the time we got back. We watched some tv shows On Demand for the rest of the day. We watched the Invention of Lying which was really really really good. We also watched Wolverine: Xmen Origins and the last Harry Potter. Nick hadn't seen the last two. Well that took care of our whole day. We bought our dinners at City Market earlier, so we made our own. I had a little pizza and Nick had some Indian. We watched some Sunday night tv shows, but I had to go to bed early. 10:12PM

I did sleep in. I had breakfast and then I grabbed my four pairs of pants and walked downtown to get my pants hemmed. I've got two pairs of jeans and two dressy pants that are just too long. It was hot trying to change in and out of them but I got them all in. I came back home and Nick and I prepared for our big day of car shopping. We first went to Nissan to see the Rogue but once I tried driving it, I really didn't like. It had a ginormous blind spot in the back. And you didn't really get that much for your money. No thanks. I liked what it looked like online, but in person it was bad. So we left and went to the Volkswagen place. I tried the Jetta TDI and it was quite nice. I wasn't impressed when we were just looking last weekend, but I enjoyed driving it and you more perks. So we'll see what happens!! :) We were pretty hungry so we stopped at McDonalds on the way home. We ate that and did a couple of things around the house. We stayed in for a little bit and had hot dogs for dinner. But then we visited a friends place for their birthday. They were turning 21 at midnight. Nick and I left before they went to the bars because were tired after our long day. 11:50PM

Friday! I had a good day at work. I got home and begun a load of laundry. I feel like I'm constantly doing it. But I needed to clean some pants in order to get them hemmed tomorrow. I made a pizza for dinner since I was extremely hungry. I didn't do much this evening. I watched a little tv but that was it. I get to sleep in tomorrow! 9:48PM

I got my first paycheck from the new job today. It was exciting to be paid. Now that I know what how much I'll be getting when payday rolls around, I've figured out a budget and how much to allocate to certain things. I like it. After work I just relaxed. We had some chicken tenders for dinner and watched a few Thursday night tv shows. I went to sleep early again. I'm impressed I've actually been able to stick with it for as long as I have now. 9:40PM

Nick drove the car today to the dentist and he made it there and back. That's awesome. I was worried he wouldn't make it. I got a ride home from work today because there was a torrential downpour occurring. So my boss dropped me off. It's not that out of the way. So that was nice. We made chicken and pasta alfredo for dinner but I forgot to add the butter so I just threw some on at the end haha. It still tasted alright. I've actually been cold at night lately! I've been using a sheet and a blanket. Only for a little bit of time though. I hope the hotness is over at this point. 10:11PM

After work today I decided to take a chance and drive somewhere with the car. I first went to the grocery store to get us some bread. What we had was beginning to mold so out I went. I also got some ziploc bags and a treat: cinnamon rolls! A little pack of 10! They looked tasty. I got back to the car, and it started, yay! I drove next door to the gas station. I was also just about out. The light had just turned on. I got gas, saved a $1.00 on each gallon, making me save a grand total of $13.50! Woohoo. Nice right?? Last time I got gas was two months ago lol. But I also haven't had my car for like half of that I suppose. Anyway, I got back in the car and it started! I wouldn't have to walk home. I even wore sneakers just in case I would have to. I'm serious. I specifically did that. Anyway I got home and parked it nicely. I watched some previously taped tv and we made mac and cheese. I got pretty full. We watched a littel tv and I got to sleep early. 10:09PM

I walked to work in the rain today. I didn't want me pants to drag on the ground so I just pulled them up above my knee haha. I got there and had a good day. I came home and there was no more rain, yay! I did a load of laundry when I got home. I was out of work socks and pants. Nick cooked ham and peas for dinner and we watched some DVRed Sunday shows. I'm trying to stick with my whole, go to sleep early thing, but it's difficult. I'm not tired at this point and feel like just staying up anyway. 9:42PM

I slept in until 8:30 today, woohoo. Now it'll be hard to wake up tomorrow lol. I cleaned up and Nick and I went to the grocery store. Before we stopped looked a few more car dealerships but we had to get going. We came home, unloaded and parked the car. We left the house around 12:35 and drove over to Winooski Beverage. There was a special deal going on today and Nick needed me as a second person to get another beer. We left and I went to the mall to find some more work clothes. I found some nice things at The Loft. I found some really nice fitting pants and a few tops. I tried Banana Republic and found one pair of pants. I got home, realized they were dry clean only and I went back over to return them. I didn't want to be bothered. I brought Nick along with me on this trip. We visited Homeport because they had a huge sale. We then went to City Market and bought a loaf of bread to have with dinner. We came home, snacked on it a little and eventually made dinner: some chicken parm. Now we're watching tv and I'm going to try to go to sleep early again. 9:54PM

I attempted to sleep in but I just couldn't. I slept in until about 7. Not too fun haha. So I go up and had breakfast, some exciting toast. I waited for the mail all day. Once it came, Nick and I visited downtown and checked out the farmer's market briefly. But it was too hot and sunny. We started sweating. So we came back home and waited around. At 1 my cousin and his wife and kids came to my apartment. They were visiting friends in the area. We squeezed into the truck and went downtown. We parked and had lunch at Henry's Diner. It was yummy, but they forgot the cheese on my cheeseburger :( Oh well. After we went back to the truck and they were nice enough to take me to the car dealership to pick up my car that was ready. How nice! We said bye and then Nick and I took a look at the vehicles in the lot. I even test drove one! We stopped at the Toyota dealership to see a car, but I didn't like it. We then went to McDonalds because we were just dying of thirst. We each got a large sweet tea and drank nearly all of it. Got some refills and drove back home. The car worked all along at these stops! We got home and Nick took a nap. We were pretty tired after being in the sun that long. We were full from the tea so didn't need at dinner hahaha. I began a new magazine to read and went to sleep early since I was tired. 9:44PM

I worked my 2nd Friday! Can't believe it's been a week and a half already. It's just flying by. I came home and relaxed. I read my Food & Wine magazine, had some left over jambalaya for dinner and watched tv. Nick was at the Vermont Brewer's Fest tonight. 9:31PM

I went out to lunch with one of my coworkers today. It'll be our thing on Thursday I believe. We ate out my first day. Not sure if I mentioned it before. I forgot to bring a coupon to work with me today. So after I went back home and changed and then walked to Rite Aid. I had intended to just stop there after work, but I had to go home first. I got some more eye drops. I was out and the coupon was expiring. I also got some candy - fruity sour worms, hehe. I walked home, it was hot. It's just over 90 outside but it's only 83 inside. I guess it's because we let the cool air come in last night. It helped. I watched some tv, made spaghetti which was a slight disaster. We got angel hair since it was all City Market had and I didn't cook enough. I also cooked the entire jar of sauce so I saved half of it for another meal in the next few days. Watched some more tv, cut all my nails and I think I'm going to go to bed early. I'm just tired. 10:09PM

After work I played my Lego video game and beat it! Yay! It was a lot of fun. We made jambalaya for dinner. It was going to be a cooler night so we opened up a little window to cool down the apartment and it really helped. But we only do it while we are there and in the same room. So no worries. I worked and when I got out I received a call about my car. I talked to dad and figured out what's going on. I guess the problem could be fixed, but it's all a matter of time before something happens again. We made hamburger helper for dinner. I'm not really impressed with those meals. Little dull. I paid some bills and cleaned up the receipts that had been piling up on my desk. I watched a little tv but I felt like I had a billion other things I needed to be doing. 10:01PM

So I woke up thinking Nick's dad would pick us up any moment. But at last we got a call saying he wouldn't come get us until 3. Since we had some time we went to City Market to get our groceries. We carried them back home and then I went to the mall downtown to find some new work appropriate tops. I need some more shirts, I feel like I just have t-shirts, or just regular t-shirt material. I went to the Gap and found two cardigans that I feel I could wear over tank tops. but it's also pretty cool at work so I'll just use those as jackets too. Nice. I found a shirt at American Eagle I thought was nice enough too. On sale, $8. The cardigans were buy one get one for free, and they were $60 each! I did good! I ran out of time. It was nearly three so I went to Starbucks for a little treat. I made the terrible mistake of saying "small" and they guy corrected me soo blunly. Geez. Pardon me. I still said small to make my point and he say the word "tall" back at me meanly. Geez. That's actually the second time they've been rude to me there. I got my drink and lef, which on the outside was covered in caramel making it super sticky. Nick's dad came by and I tried my car. It started! I drove it over to the shop and turned it off. I tried it one more time, and of course it didn't start, so I'm glad I got it there. I got in the car with Nick and his dad and we went to his house. We started grilling some meat for dinner. When it was ready we can corn on the cob too. It was yummy. We were driven back home and we watched a little bit of Sunday shows. 10:55PM

Happy Birthday mommy! I spent a ton of time today doing laundry. I got in a load of towels and bed sheets and then that went in the dryer. The 2nd dryer is broken. I was going to add my 2nd load into the washer but this other guy jumped ahead of me. And he didn't take care of his dryer load, so that delayed me and then I took it out after an hour and finished my 2nd load. But I still had a third, but then it was like 3 and I had enough by then. Nick and I watched some tv and that was pretty much it. It wasn't crazy hot, but it's still warm. 10:42PM

I have a feeling my blog days are going to get really short and non-eventful especially since I'm working now. Which that still like shocks me. I feel like I didn't have a transition. So weird waking up early in the morning for something now! Only trouble is now I'm going to have major issues trying to get the car back to the dealership to be worked on. Not sure when or how I will do it. The biggest issue is, how will get a ride back to Burlington? I went to work, it was great. They have A/C there which is really nice haha. When I got out I made some dinner. We ate and watched some tv and that was it. Again we used the A/C window unit and it helps a lot in the evening. 11:03PM

I woke up extra early because Nick was suppose to go to the dentist but I was nervous the car wouldn't start. And of course it didn't. Grrr!!!! I got cleaned up and went to Rite Aid for some things and then to the Post Office to mail a thank you card. I get back to the apartment and I'm talking to my dad about the car and then I hear from my potential job. They want me!!! Yay!!!! But since it was super super hot out I needed to take another shower and I walked on over there. Thank goodness it's super super close. I'm not going to say what or where it is exactly because I don't feel I should on here. But I got one! I went over and did paperwork and got started just an hour or so after that phone call. I stayed till 6 and then when I got home Nick and I decided to go get a slice of pizza to celebrate. He suggested Manhattan's Pizza because they supposedly had A/C and it was extremely hot, about 95 degrees out. We went there but they didn't really have any haha. But the pizza was very yummy! We went home and I just relaxed since it was way hot. But yay! Just short of a month and a half. That's how long it took since graduation. We also tried the A/C we found last year. Turns out it works pretty well! It took a while to cool the place down, but it did, in the living room, by about 6-8 degrees. We take it out when we're done so no one messes with it or tries to break in. 11:02PM

I get up, get dressed and get ready to be picked up to get my car for the 3rd time. I take the shuttle, apparently it's A/C is broken too. I get there, pay, and try the car a few times. It starts so ok. I leave and stop at Price Chopper on the way home for the rest of our groceries. I come home and try to cool off. Our thermostat can read the indoor temperature and it only goes up to 90. And it's reached it's maximum so it's hotter than that inside. Ugh miserable. We can't leave windows open because a bunch of people just got robbed recently because of it. So we have to be there, and be awake during this too. So it's hot. We made cheeseburgers for dinner. These are from Costco and just heat up in the microwave. They are pretty good. We watched a little tv and called it a night, sweating. 10:38PM

I slept in a little. Nick was off today so we hung around the house together doing nothing. After all the driving and running around we wanted to just relax. But it was super hot. The apartment is getting up in the 90's. It's totally unbearable. We're going to have to take out the A/C unit that we found a year ago and see if it'll work. Nick finally caught up on his tv since his trip. It was too hot to cook so we made a trip over to City Market for some more food and our dinner tonight. I made a little pizza and Nick had some Indian food but we were just so hot. A lot of people I know are having to wear swimsuits/underwear in their apartments/houses this week because it's super rare for these old places to have A/C. As a result, I'm also taking two showers a day. 10:33PM

I woke up around 8 and got ready. We had breakfast, but I didn't eat/drink too much. We were going to drive back to Burlington today. Before we left Nick, his mom, and I went to down to the river in the convertible to see one of their relatives or maybe it was family friend on their sailbost. But they weren't there. Apparently these people built their own boat, have sailed from the Caribbean to Maine and will do so again. Crazy! That's their life. I couldn't do it. And I can't imagine they have much space in there to live. Yikes. We went back to the house and packed up. We drove some place in Augusta to see Nick's great grandma. She was nice to meet. We said bye and left for home. Since it's 4th of July we're hoping to miss any parades in towns. We're not going interstate this time. We drove, made a stop for a pee break and then made another stop at a McDonalds for a little lunch. It was yummy! We drove some more and I had enough by this point. The A/C didn't work so the windows were down and the noise just gives me a headache. And I was hot too. At last we got back to the apartment and said bye. The apartment was warm, but I honestly thought it would be worse. As in, in the 90's however it was only in the 80's. We made sandwiches for dinner to use up the rest of our food. We also walked over to Rite-Aid so I could buy a Sunday newspaper. We came back and then we were really hot. I made a little pizza for dinner and we watched some tv. 10:28PM

I got up early today, around 7 to get ready for the big day ahead. We had a big breakfast, but I ate only a little. Just not hungry. We got in the car around 10:30, it took a while to get going haha. We first drove to Camden. We parked and did some exploring. We went into a few shops. I ended up buying a big purchase: 4 little corn holders lol. For a grand total of $1.05. We need them and they are kind of hard to find. We got back in the car and drove to the top of Mt Battie. Called something like that. We found a nice place to sit with a view and had a little snack. Some cheese and crackers. I had a soda too. I took some pictures and got a little of a sunburn. Oops. We got back in the car and drove down to Samoset. We walked out on this large granite walkway. It's extremely long and we maybe made it half way. I didn't feel like walking all the way to the end haha. But the breeze felt so cool and amazing. I found some rocks to take home with me. We drove some more and made it to Pemaquid. We had a late lunch/dinner I guess at this place called Shaw's. I got a cheeseburger and Nick got a whole lobster. It was good. We continued to drive a tiny bit and visited the local lighthouse there. We climbed all over the rocks and took pictures. We finally drove back to the house. I was pretty tired. Nick and I watched a little tv and then he showed his grandparents his pictures from Europe. We had a little cake before bedtime and went to sleep early. 11:19PM

I woke up and played some Lego game. I kind of started to pack because Nick and I are going to Maine with his mom today. We were going to take my car, but mine's still in the shop!! I also began to cook some spaghetti until Nick called me saying he's leaving work early at 2. Well I quickly ate the spaghetti and packed quickly so we can leave earlier than planned. I got everything done, yay!, and Nick's mom picked us up. We began our drive to Maine around 3. We stopped in Portland around 7 to get dinner at Amato's. I got some chicken sandwich but wasn't really hungry anymore. I had been earlier, but now it's disappeared. Nick wanted to go to a beer store so we walked a few blocks and he did his thing. I called mom in the meantime and once Nick was done we got back on the road. We got to our destination just after 9. We went to surprise his grandpa, he turned 75 today and we certainly surprised him haha. It was very nice though. We talked for a little bit but went to sleep around 11-11:30. 11:13PM

I got up and went to the mall to get something I've been wanting for a while now. I came back home and had lunch. I didn't hear anything from the car, so I suppose it'll be another day. The part got ordered is all. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but we got some bad milk so I complained and they sent me a coupon for a free gallon of milk!! Very cool! I was expecting like 50 cents off, but a whole gallon is awesome! It was also nice and cool today for once. I'm enjoying it while it lasts because it'll be a hot one next week. Nick and I made meatball subs for dinner and just hung out. 11:08PM
