First off, Happy Birthday dad! I woke up this morning and guess what, I'm sick. Again. Ugh. It's only been a month since the last time I was sick. I blame school and my eyes. My eyes have been having issues with my contacts and they are hurting so I touch my eyes which are probably covered in germs from nasty kids. I try to do it as little as possible, I do, but damnit. So my nose is all stuffed. Feeling miserable. Went to Jambalaya Shoppe for lunch today with the usual 5. No more plastic chairs at that place lol. Came home and had found out from Amber that her and Jamie would take me out to dinner tonight so I prepped right before I expected them to come. I hear them arrive and go to the door, they grab me and I'm like ahhhh my computer, lol. So I go to turn it off and grab my purse and then they grab me again and blindfold me and tie my hands around my back. Put me in the car and say lay down. I say noo, seatbelltt, lol. So I pull a hand out of the tie behind me and buckle up, lol. They were like what?! How did you do that. lol. They drive and I'm having trouble breathing, sick remember. Jamie drives in random places and I just try to figure out the turns and stuff, pretty hard. So I had seen a tape of Karen it was her birthday, and she was blindfolded too, etc. So they pull in somewhere, felt like we were on grass, turns out we weren't lol. Then they go to another place and we get out of the car. Still can't see or brace myself if I fall so I'm resisting Amber's push, she's guiding me. She says step and I go up fine, because Karen fell when she came to a step, lol. So they sit me down and I recognize the type of chair it is. DeAngelo's. lol, so I'm still blindfolded and they take some pictures with me like that, lol. Surprisingly enough I wasn't embarrassed by it all. Some group comes out and are like is it her birthday? It's one of their members too, and the one says aw why didn't you do that to me, lol. Then our place is ready so, lol, we go in, remember I'm still all done up and they guide me to the table, lmao. Amber said more were looking at Amber then at me. I later said probably because they wanted to see if you would run me into a wall or let me trip, lol. So I sit down and finally they take it off and yay can see again. lol. Then we ate dinner. We ordered an appetizer and got full off of it, so um not good. lol. We ordered our meals and it took a very long and we were so full when we got it! I barely ate anything. Turns out we knew our waiter, Thomas, well me not so much, but I recognized him from somewhere. We got a free ice cream out too, lol, least I did. Had a candle in it too. lol. I also saw my old teacher there too. So we had a nice time, except Jamie was having some drama, but I didn't care. Then afterwards I was going to go out with them, so we drove back to my house so I could get my car. I was following them and all of a sudden I felt terrible. I thought I was going to throw up right then, it was so bad. I call Jamie and say I can't do this, sorry, almost crying. I'm sure she was like ahh fine. I felt bad for doing it, but no way I could do that. So I continue to drive and make a big loop and come home. After a good 45 minutes I'm feeling a little bit better but so glad I didn't go out, could have been bad. So, glad they did something for me. I was pretty pissy about them not doing anything, and on Tuesday Amber said well, we're going to take you out to dinner or dessert or something, and I was like well that would be good, because, well, you know how I felt. So I guess they planned it today, well the actual final details and Amber said the time and be surprised, but yeah. Just wish I wasn't sick!! 10:16PM

Woke up on time and got my parking spot today. So yay! In Calc we had a part, like last year, for re-learning the fundamental theorem of calculus, lol. Had chips and salsa and cookies and soda at 8:30 in the morning lol. I got 8 rolls of film today in Photo that I had paid for in the bulk order that was made. Then at lunch, Amber, Jamie, myself, and Nick went to Wendy's through the drive -thru and not far down at Waffle House, so person was having a problem, not sure but they were on the ground and surrounded by EMS and fire truck people, things of that sort. We came back to school and the three of us girls went to the Youth Leg meeting, first one of the year. Oh Study hall, how I hate that class. It wouldn't be so bad if the people in it, weren't in it. lol. It's true. These kids are soo annoying and non stop annoying talking. I came home and did the usual and then went to dance for 6:15. Hard to think last week after dance I had to prep for the hurricane. Dance was good, still fun. And since the class is so huge, like 30-40 people, there will be a new on on Monday from 5:30-6:15, which makes my life easier, and it will be for 16 and older kids. Which is better because there are some young ones in the Thursday one. I came home and did more homework! It never ends! Doesn't feel like Thursday, but definately yay that it is!! 10:25PM

I woke up about 20 minutes late today, which is the most I can sleep in and still be ready in time. Found that out today, lol. I suppose I could hurry more if I had to, but it wouldn't be pretty lol. Jessica took my parking spot!! I cried. It's not assigned, but I usualy park there, but she arrived earlier then I did, by just minutes too, lol. I yellled are her, jkkk. lol. At about 3-4 minutes left of 1st hour, the fire alarm goes off! We walk out to where our 'safety spot' ish is located and we look around thinking, okayy. ... where is the rest of the school? Well eventually they come, and it's still not even all of them. So we're talking about how we've probably failed another fire drill. Turns out later, that they were just testing the alarms and we weren't suppose to respond, but we did so that's good, but yet others took way to long to get out of the fire, lol. I drove to McDonalds today to pick something up for Jamie and myself, while Jamie had to go home to feed their new kitten, cute by the way, and we would meet back at school for NHS. Got a headache in 6th hour. Been doing homework in there rather than printing as of late, probably the smart thing to do at the moment too. After school, Jamie and I each drove to the bowling place for what else but some kick ass practice. I got a 96, 70something, and a 95 I think. Not too good, but such as life. I fought traffic and arrived at home 40 minutes later. It's still pretty bad where ever you go. I came home and did some more homework, then talked to some people, including Maggie and then watched Lost! Well, sorta, I taped it because I was talking to Maggie at the same time, so I'll go back to that tomorrow I suppose. Vicki, it's okay! Just wanted to clear it up anyway too. ooo ouch! Sorry to say, but the lowers are harder to get out, maybe not harder but more pain. sorry for sayng that, lol. I love the dry humor it has. Well it's changed a bit this year, more fast paced, but I especially liked this last episode. And to make sure, do you know that we have our own US version of The Office, so I don't get the one with Ricky in it, although I do know who you mean!! Don't know when I'll get the chance, but when or if I see their seasons, I'll be picking them up, I've heard yours is better. And I will! Maggie, like go to a computer lab, with computers in it. lol. We went in Calculus and Statistics. In both we use different programs to learn more, it was pretty nifty. Oh wow lucky! We had to take some up to last year, way it worked out to graduate, and now this year it's optional. Tops are easier to get out, and that is what I've got. lol, I know you do! 9:29PM

Not much really happened at school today. I had two computer labs today which made the day go by so much quicker. I drove to Burger King, Carl reached over and honked at two people, lol. But it's okay, there was good reason behind them. I had a Chem Lab test today, studied like crazy for 5th and 6th hour. After school I went to the Orthodontist. They took forever! But I got an xray of my mouth, to see where my 2 wisdom teeth are. Turns out they are still way up in the mouth, yay, don't have to worry about getting them out for 2-3 years. And that was my last appointment with them, very pleased about that. I came home and ... hm. What did I do... Oh, I ate my leftovers from Olive Garden, so yes I did go. Thought I made that clear, but ah well. Delicious. Yeah! Amazing Race premiere was tonight, I think I liked it better as groups of two. And that Shreveport son, woooo hottie. Brock, 19, so guess I'm rooting for them, lol. And now I'm going to do the commenting on the comments and then I'm going to watch my taped The Office. Maggie, aw thank you very much Maggie!! I could never forget either! Jackie, thank you! and I'm glad you got my email, was an email right? Yeah I'm pretty sure. lol. Vicki, it's okay! I just looked yours on your site so I won't miss it. Glad to see it's coming up and hasn't past instead, lol. I got the 'Tour Italy' dish, which had lasagna, chicken parmigana, and fettucini. It was a lot, but soo good. Well, they defiantely wouldn't go during it, so had to settle with before, wasn't hungry, but then again better than nothing. 10:17PM

Happy Birthday to me. Glad I remember at least, unlike some other people I know. *cough*the jackasses at school*cough* So last year I didn't say anything to see who would remember, turns out a few did so I was going to be prepared this year and give like a week countdown of oh hey, Monday, birthday over here! Right? Yeah. Anyway. I pick up the neighbors and I told them, and did they say anything, Nope. I get to school and sit next to Jen, nothing from her. First hour goes by and I go to 2nd hour. 10 minutes go by and my teacher looks at something and sees that it's my birthday and says it. Then! everyone turns around and is all oh yeah? Well, happy birthday! A little late guys. ... Then I'm going to meet Amber to walk to Photo, 4th hour. First time of the day I see Jamie and Amber, they say it at least. I get to my photo class, and I had mentioned in a few times in there, and no one in that class says anything. People suck. Then I took a trip with Amber down to the office to visit her mom/get a copy of a picture for Photo. Her mom says Happy Birthday, so yay. And that was it. Well, Carl and Amber were argueing over who got to sit in the passenger seat for lunch so I was like heyy, it's my birthday so I got it. So no locker signs, decorations of the car. It's like I do something for their birthdays, but it's mine first in the line of us, so nothing really happens. Disappointing. So I come home and want to go to Olive Garden tonight. Problem is there is an LSU game tonight and parents want to watch that, so now I feel like I'm second to that. It's either go early or not go. I say alright, let's go. Mom gets ready and she's wanting to go, eat, and be back in time before it starts, 6:30. We eat, it was nice, mom didn't seem like oh got to get home now now now now now. But she did ask me the time a few times. Then leaving and driving home, she changed and drove like a wild woman. Reckless driver with road rage. I was scared. lol. And I threatened that she better stop or I'll tell about it on the blog, she didn't even put her foot on the gas, lol. But damnit, focus please. I'm not one to walk in a room and be like Bitches it's my birthday, attention on me k, thanks. So yeah, whoot on the birthday. I've never really enjoyed birthdays as of late, they've just lost that little kid thrill we use to know, you know. And technically speaking, I'm not 18 yet, only at 10:48PM lol. 8:14PM

Not much happened today. Saw some hot guy behind my house today. lol. So I'm back to normal then, lol. Did what else but the rest of my homework. Felt strange to finish early too, usually I'm tight for time. I go back to school tomorrow. The preschool doesn't have power still, lucky for them I guess. But they're preschool, so .. yeah. lol. Anyway. What else what else. Well, dad gave me beautiful new monitor for me birthday. It's one of those flat screen ones. It's so thing, I'm amazed by it, lol, or LCD one. Yeah. I'll get a link. link, it's so pretty, lol. I'll take a picture or something next chance I get. Birthday tomorrow, we'll see who remembers. 10:27PM

(laterx2) My light just did some fade thing, so I'll just come in here and say, hey hello. Still here, still raining, still under watches and warnings. I'm ready for dinner and am hoping the power stays on until 10, then I don't care. I just want to see the premiere of Numb3rs tonight. 4:13PM
(later) We've been getting lots of rain. Some wind, but much more rain. I had a moment around 12:15 today, lol. We went under a tornado warning and I was freaking out because the wind was picking up and looking scary and freaking out so more. Yes, well nothing happened, but .. I cried, lol, because I was so scared. I tell you that storm back in the summer really messed with me. I got worried again around 2, another 'area of rotation' was above us and I was just looking outside waiting for it to pass. I've tried to do some English and Astronomy to take my mind off of it, and have done some laundry and now I'm watching tv, not hurricane related. And that's it. I'm glad it's down to a category 3, but I hate that it takes forever to pass. The worst will be at night, which I imagine will really freak me out. 2:42PM
--So this morning I wasn't very worried about this storm, but within the last hour, we've been put under a tornado watch, flood watch, and tropical storm warning. Plus, all of these tornado warnings (one on the ground) keep going off (that noise warning it makes on the tv) and keep flashing across the bottom of the screen. So now I am worried about a possible tornado. Earlier I took pictures of trees and such, a before category of the house again. We are worried about one tree, it's the one that survived in my neighbors yard. Looks like Y, or a sling shot. That would get us. And then there are a few that are just bad looking, tall and could reach the house, etc. About 3 of those. We'll see. I don't like seeing these tornado warnings, I have a map and I'm see where they are. And poor parts of New Orleans, parts of the levees have broken and the city is flooding again. As long as I have power, I will making small updates through out the day. 11:19AM

September 22, 2005
Ahhhh crap. I had something here, but it's disappeared. Damnit. Okay trying again. This was suppose to be a good post. Pisses me off. I don't feel like redoing it now. To sum it up, after updating here I saw that Rita was moving at 8mph, I said it was giong to miss it's turn, making it happen closer to us. And this morning I checked the internet and the projected path shifted a lot more back to us. I gasped and was like wow I was right. I went to school. In Photography, Erik, a Junior, had a MRE for lunch, his mom packed it, lol. He didn't understand why he got that, but I've never seen one, only heard of them. And they've been floating around down here since Katrina. So we got him to fix it during class, very interesting. And it stands for Meals Ready to Eat. So you add water to this chemical grain stuff and it begins to steam. He added the pouch of beef/mushroom/gravy to the other pouch with the cooking steam/water. Our teacher was helping him out, she had seen it done before. It cooked for a few minutes, very hot too, and he put the other pouch, beans in to cook. He struggled opening the pouch and said it wasn't that bad, but the beef was a rectangle, lol. The beans were gone, I guess, lol, and they were soo gross looking. I was expecting green beans, same with everyone else, but ew gross. This looked so nasty. The MRE also came with some salt, pepper, a napkin, moist towelette, spoon, 2 crackers (which tasted like normal, I tried), 2 tootsie rolls, some apple jelly (also in a small pouch), and a pouch of powdered milkshake. We heard it smelled like normal, but tasted bad. Well, Tori wanted to try it out so she added the 6 ounces of water and shook it, and it did smell very good. But if you drank from it, you sometimes got lumps, lol. And it was a bit gross, almost tried it, but the lumps... It was cool to see. I drove the gang, Amber, Jamie, Nick, and Carl to Burger King. But before we could enter the car, you had to swat away lovebugs. This season is just terrible! They are really everywhere! And the hover by the cars because they are hot, and it's just gross. They are on our windows and some get in the house. Nasty little mateing things. So we eat and then it's time to leave. I go to my car and see what is taking them a while. Well, Nick walks out with a box of those AOL free CD's where you get 1000 minutes free types. ... What the hell is he doing!? lol, he just took the whole thing, with like 50 CDs in it. He goes, it says it for free. ... It was hilarious. He said he just felt the need to take it, lol. Can't believe he did that. He brought it back to school and stuffed it in some guys locker. Lol, so random! So I had a headache now by the end of school, but since Rita is bringing her ass closer to us, Baton Rouge is panicing. I went to get gas and had to wait in a line. I went home and did some homework. I got ready for dance and was told that we don't have school tomorrow! That'll be wonderful, but I never expected it to be canceled. I went to dance and it was good. After it I went to Wal-Mart to stock up. Things are already gone. I got what I could, wanted to take pictures and I had my camera, but I didn't feel like asking for permission and had to get the cold stuff home. Maybe I'll make a special trip tomorrow. We got our first band of rain at 3pm and then another at 6pm. It's okay right now. It'll pick up for sure tomorrow. I came home from the store and I saw dad had boarded up the windows again. I really don't think we'll need them, but we have them so why not, lol. I did the dishes and will prep the tubs for tomorrow. And I will be doing homework since I've got an extra day, which is just wonderful!! And mom signed me up for World Geo semester 2 today, yay, another subject to do, lol. And Lexi got groomed today and is so clean and smells good and looks so pretty lol. 9:55PM

Mmmm. Let me think. I can't think, lol. Well, we got our yearbooks in 7th hour today. Which turns into a signing frenzy. I got some good ones, funny ones, will bring the book again tomorrow for more sign-age. Goal is to get everyone, or mostly anyway. Last time to get it and all. I'm so distracted right now, trying to watch that Invasion show and do this at the same time. I taped Lost, because mom and I were trying to find myself a uh tennis racquet. We had no idea what to look for, so we talked to this lady who seemed to know all about it, she did. She gave us the tip that we should go try some out first instead of buying. And I tried to find some pants that cut off below ish the knee for dance, hip hop. But, didn't like what I saw but got some anyway. So right, watching Invasion to see their comparison with their idea of a hurricane. I'd say it's off. Yeah. I think they made it a lot worse, which makes sense, but still. They had all that lightening, we had like none. Sure the rain and wind picks up like that, and windows and a roof can blow out or off, but I don't know, it was just like a big storm. It's just something a whole lot different fron what they showed. Just off. And fake. And speaking of hurricane's, Rita. oo That bitch is going strong. Last night it was a Cat 2 and now a 5! I feel like oh, that's not bad, nothing close to Katrina, but hello! I feel bad that more people are going to go through the same. We'll probably just get some rain, not rain. Wind. This Invasion show is stupid. Always a kid trying to go out in a huge storm and find an animal. How .... um. .. typical? Sure. lol. It's like oh come on, give me a break. 9:41PM

Goal to make this as short as possible due to my killer headache right now. Okay, not much early in the day. Lunch at Taco Bell, was disgusting. Went with the usual, Amber, Jamie, Nick, and Carl. Um. Afternoon. Mmm. Well. In Chem Lab we had a lab where we had to separate 4 types of candy from each other, and when it was done, we ate it. lol. It was yummy. Came home. It's so hot outside. Played some piano again and then watched tv and had a headache. The Office came on tonight, new season. Was nice. I noticed a change from last year, it was good though. jim and Pan kissed! lol, it was cute. Jim's cute. Big Brother ended, Janelle still should have won, lol. But what can you do? Um. Okay, good enough. We get our yearbooks tomorrow in 7th hour. Oh and the hurricane still sucks. Uh oh, it's slowling down in mph move-age. Not good. It's what Katrina did before it smacked into us. Maybe it'll just completely disappear. Bah. Righhhttt. Commenters now. Vicki, Well, when mine goes from the digital camera to my computer it's just in that form to begin with. I'm not sure how to upload it or work it with my site so I just use that link that expires, you know. Maybe yours just didn't upload correctly, or some wording is wrong. Not wording, codes. MMmm.... Today sucked. ... Yes. Because of thrid hour. ... So teachers decide that we will do an AP problem and have a student teach it thorugh. So, how about a volunteer! No one said anything. Alright, who ever has the least amount of letters in their middle name does it. ... Mine's Kate. So that's not looking too good lol. So I have 4 and so does Carl and Caitlin. We are told to do rock paper scissors, and I lose, or win, whichever way you look at it. Great. ... So I go up to the board and this is the reason my Calc teacher says I'm evil, I wouldn't go up to the board, said no thanks to it. But now, I don't really have a choice, but I'm reassured that I can ask the others questions. So worst choice to teach, me, is up there. Embarrassing. So, I ask, alright so and so, how do you do it. lol. I have no idea myself, so I'll get the kids to do it, lol. This continuedc for 20 minutes and was terrible!! I never want to do that again. Went to lunch at Wendy's with Jamie, Amber, Carl, and Nick. It was good, very very funny at times. That's it at school. Came home and did some homework, about to do some Calc now. Played ze piano again today. Coldplay songs came back pretty well, I automatically placed my hands in the right spots which is very exciting. I also have the sheets for Fix You, but only the first page, soo that gets me through about 30 seconds, lol. And that's ard to play, my fingers don't stretch that far. I had trouble on other songs, but this, ouch. Oh and yeah, Rita is coming to kick our ass this weekend. I am really really really not looking forward to this. We're in the very right side of the projected path, and if it hits Texas, it has to eventually move east, which hits us. Which makes us on the really bad right quadrant of the storm. Which also means, the trees will be blowing towards the house and very very very likely one will go through. So change of plan, instead of camping out in the bathroom, I think I mioght go to the laundry room or that hallway in my kitchen. Should be far away from the trees. I don't want it to come! And not so close to my birthday. I think it was 2 years, maybe 3, ago a hurricane came on my birthday, and no school too. Turns out it was a beautiful day, not one drop of rain, lol. But this doesn't look good. Good thing we have the boards all cut and ready to go. You'd be severely stupid to not put up boards this time. Esp since we could be on the right side. But hey, we'll see how things go with it. Still very far away, and who knows we might not need boards. 8:09PM

Woo. Worked on my Beowulf paper today. That was a beast to do. Took like 7 hours. Which left me right in time to see the Emmy's. It was really good this year. I enjoyed it lots. Especially with Lost winning a few awards, and same with Hugh Jackman! I would give a yelp/holllar when they would win, lol. Hugh was looking sexay with his beard coming in for X3, and he was wearing a magnolia, for Katrina cause. Something, didn't catch it, but it's for that. So, being here, I really like seeing that. And lots of talk about that storm. I mean, that first week I have to say I felt really alone and that the state was really being left behind, but now I'm seeing the response of countries and people around the world, it's amazing. By the way, gas is under control despite it's outrageous prices. Grocery stores still run out. Certain foods still sell very quickly. It's like chance that you get there when it is there. 10:08PM

So I finished and turned in my Astronomy last night at 12:13. I am awesome, lol. Just a few minutes over, will be fine I'm sure. I did math today and it was a beast. There was more to this day, but I really can't recall. I did some tv watching too. I'm also slowly, very slowly, working on an update for scanned. I've got like 55 scans ready and have another 70 or so to be cropped and such. It takes a while, and I only got like 15 done today. So poor upcoming Coldplay ticket holders. Shows are being cancelled. It's too bad that that's happening, but yeah Chris and who ever else is sick, get better. Right now I'm watching the 100 AFI quotes. I could have done, May the force be with you. Coollll. 10:49PM

Let's see what I can remember about yesterday. Well, we went to the Jambalaya Shoppe for lunch and it was pretty crowded and with lots of business office-y type of people coming in. So this one group of 5 or so, all guys, go to sit down at a table. Two sit on this plastic bench and it breaks underneath them! I thought the ceiling was crashing down or something! I look over and they are on their backs! Their group was laughing so everyone else started to laugh. And you can't really play off that, lol. It was just, funny and yet so unexpected, and one poor guy already had a cast on his wrist. I was doing some thing in Astronomy and the power went off on me. So we all lost a little something. I didn't have much so I said oh well and didn't do anymore, lol. So Tori and I were trying to print in Study Hall, but these worker guys wanted to shut off the power there, so we were cut short. I also had dance last night. It's actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The 45 minutes go by so quickly and it's a really good workout. I'm glad I'm taking it. Today: Oh, right, so senior quotes and bio were due today like I mentioned yesteday. Here is my fantastic bio: NHS (11, 12), Beta Club (9, 11), Mu Alpha Theta (11, 12), Youth Legislature (11, 12), Bowling (10, 11, 12), Soccer (11), Tennis (12), Merit Roll (9), Honor Roll (10, 11), 1st Place Judges Choice Photography, Dance (9, 10, 11, 12). Nice huh? lol. And then my quote... *sigh* Here is what I liked: (1) Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. - Mark Twain. (2) In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. -- Robert Frost. (3) The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made. -- Groucho Marx. I've liked (1) for a very very long time and said I would do that one. But I didn't want to because it was too long and people would just skip over it. And if I cut it in half, it would lose it's feeling/emotion/meaning/etc type of thing. (2) I was stupid and decided to share my favorites with Amber and later she said are you using this one and I said, um maybe. I like it. So apparently she didn't get that bit and wrote it down for hers. So she asks me if it's okay later. I had just given up by this point and said who cares, I'll do (1). Sure whatever, I just feel weird seeing you use it, because I showed it to you and feel like I just handed it over. Didn't want to give a direct, no don't use it because I was being too damn nice. Well dad comes on in and kicks me off the computer to look up better one, where he shows me (3). There were others, but no. Mom only likes (1). I don't know what to do, so I just do (3). Well, the more I think about it the more I want (2) now. So I go to school today and find out Amber has decided on my (2). And now since I said sure whatever use it, I feel like I can't be like, give me back the quote. So I'm pissed but don't take it back and decide we'll figure something out in Photo class. For 40 minutes I ponder on what to do. She's like ahh hurry up. So I ask, well what would you have to replace it. She says nothing, well something but I'd rather this. AKA don't take it back. Though I know I should since I found it first, I don't because I would feel selfish. So I say fine take it and I turn mine in with (3). I go to the bathroom and come back and will take it to 5th hour Astron so I can look up more. I do that and find (4) Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save. -- Will Rogers. (5) A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. -- Oscar Wilde. So I'm stuck between these two, and can live with either, although I still want my (2). I google them both to see what has the higher results, lol. And it's (4). So I'm using that one, and I probably would have picked that one. Mom thinks this one is stupid because it doesn't fit me. I say, I know what I'm doing in life and so it fits because everyone else around me has no clue and this is what will happen to them. She says, I still like (1) and who cares if it's too long. I do damnit! So ahh, never share you quotes is what you should take away from this. In Study Hall I printed two pictures, go me! lol. One was a reprint because it came out backwards the first time, so now it's right. :) After school I came home and relaxed, at one point watched Big Brother, where poor Janelle was evicted! Noo! I wanted her to win. :( And then I had dinner before that and we had this scary crazy lightening storm that seriously freaked me out. And then any bit of time before, between, and after I've been working on my two Astron assignments because they are due today! I didn't work on them earlier because I didn't have the time until now! Gah. There needs to be more hours in a day. So I am taking a break now and will go back and finish the last two questions on one of them, and then will read a chapter and answer another big grouping of questions. Vicki, it sucks. Yeah, love Bio, sure hit me up with some questions see if I can help you out. Thanks and you too!! 10:38PM

Hey. No update tonight because it's late and I still need to finish my Senior Bio and Quote. And then dad took over my computer to help me find a better quote so then I couldn't work on it. Ahhhh. Can't decide. Maybe update tomorrow in Astron. Wait, no, shit, have to do a bitch load of work in that class that is due tomorrow, that I didn't finish here because I'm so effing busy with this Senior Quote crap. ahhhh. K, have a nice day. :) 10:40PM

While driving to school I saw Jamie's for sale sign in the yard. It's so sad! They are already beginning to put things in boxes. :( Oh and I'm back in my car, which was pounded by lovebugs. They are everywhere this season!! Are they bad near any of you guys? Had lunch at McDonalds, picked it up and raced back to school for a tennis meeting. Which by the way, there are, what I think anyway, 2 new decent lookings guys in the Junior grade, damn wish it was ours, lol, and they are in tennis! Yes! How awesome is that?! lol. That'll be cool if they stay in it. So I need to eventually go get some equipment for it. Printed in Study Hall again. Oh yeah, we had a lab again today in Chem. Did I mention this yesterday? Maybe not, don't feel like looking, lol. Well, we had to chew gum and calculate the percent of sugar that's in the gum. These types are always nice to do, lol. I had some good gum, the Bubbleicious one, blueberry I guess? It was good, lol. Did homework, looked at Jamie's house on the internet, had a brief chance of hope to go to a Coldplay concert, but it was slim and has gotten a negative answer to it. :( And poor Tampa!! Their concert was cancelled tonight because Chris is sick! I know that a friend, Sarah, was to go to it. That's really too bad, but at least it will be rescheduled, but still! Hope he feels better of course! I think I might actually get to bed early tonight, I've finished everything I should do and may just call it night. I need it for sure. Krisitn the neighbor passed her drivers test so I may not have to bring them to school anymore! Exciting, and will be the first time ever! to not carpool to school. Since K! So what... bit over 12 years. Insane. No bowling today which was fantastic, didn't want to go. What else can I share. ... mmm. Our morning are dropping in the oh so low temp of 70's. lol. But it still gets to the 90s during the day. Vicki, oh yeah, that must have had just perfect, beautiful skies! lol, it's alright! No, no McDonalds, but ew not for me though. lol. 8:57PM

Will try to make this quick. Had lunch at Taco Bell, gross. Hadn't been there in like ... 10 years, really. I've only eaten from there once, long long time ago. I printed in Study Hall. Oh yeah, I drove the truck. So I was quite nervous about backing into a parking spot. I made sure to have open places on my right and left just in case. I backed in and hit the parking block thing, lol, Julie laughed very hard. And then I fixed it and some people were like are you driving that?! Why!? lol. I felt powerful in it. And high up! lol. And then I didn't have a problem driving back home. Didn't hit anyone so yay! Turns out my dad is back so back to my car again, yay. Open house was tonight and mom wasn't going to go, but got ready because we thought dad wouldn't make it, he was originally going to go too. So she got ready and went and they just went to my classes together. Turns out, mom is glad she went, since you know, last open house and all. Thought my classes are nice, except they skipped out on my Astronomy Online and Study Hall, which was fine anyway. No reason to be there. Um. lol, oh yeah. So my Calc teacher mentioned to my parents of my 'evil and mean' ways, lol. ooo, stop pleaseeee. lol. Can't believe she did that. Oh well. That's it really. Very good chance that there could be more, but I'm tired and have a headache so goodnight. But Kelli, thank you for ze comment and thank you for the worrying, lol. Or caring, or concerned, which is probably the better way to say it. 10:30PM

So hm. Today. Right. Got a 91 on my Calc test, I'll take it. Quote of the day from English. Took my Stats test today. People thought it was hard, I thought it was easy. That can't be good, lol. Brought in a few things to show/talk about with my photo teacher. We were able to leave for lunch again. I drove myself, Amber, Jamie, and Jen. And then Nick and Carl showed up also at Burger King. Traffic wasn't bad going to lunch, luckily, but coming back the road we were on 25 minutes earlier was bumper to bumper. So it works out nicely I suppose. Like we get there before the lunch crowd. Printed in Study Hall. Did work in Chem Lab. So after school, Jamie goes, my house if for sale. ... what?! I was shocked to hear this. We've been hearing lots of kids say this and then they are asked where will you go? (since practically nothing is on the market) Most reply with, I don't know. Well, Jamie has that second house, or what you've maybe heard me say 'the camp'. Thing is, it's an hour away. You can't make that drive every morning and afternoon so now Jamie and her sister don't know what they will do. The plan was, what we heard this afternoon, that they would sell later in the year, but that changed in a few hours and now a sign will go up in a few days. It's really sad. That house is almost like a second house to me. I've been there so so so much and I've been around it ever since they first bought it, which was I guess around PreK-1st grade. A long time. I told her go around to every spot with a camera and take pictures or video of oh, look, here was this one where Grace drove into the wall with a scooter and we patched it up before her parents got home. Really happened. I would like to go back before it's not there's anymore. Take some pictures myself probably. Dad is also going to be using my car for the next day or so, so I have to drive the truck. Or be driven by the neighbor, no thanks, I'd rather the truck. But gah, I'm not so sure I can back up and park in that thing. I had trouble today with my own car. lol. Better only have 1 person next to me, lol. So tomorrow I'll ask Jamie if I should be worrying about the chance that she might not be there at graduation. Better be there. Well, I'm going to do a few more things before Super Sweet 16 comes on. Anyone else watch this show? It's outrageous what these kids can do. Astraea, Yep. Yeah yeah I saw on my printed out crappy version of a star wheel, lol. I found Cygnus and Ursa Minor last night, little dipper. And the two planets to the west after sunset. Vicki, lol! You're welcome too. OoooOOoo threefold huh? Well, yeah, well, where were you? Not in a city I guess where there wasn't light and regular pollution? My skies are pretty clear, but the lights around still mess it up at times, and have to wait for a clear sky. Hail Bop? lol, um, haven't heard of that one. I know Haley's Comet. *googles* Ah! Such a thing! Maybe you did! Wait, here's a different spelling, Hale Bopp.Yeah, think that's the way it's spelt. Was it in 1997?!! Hm. Wonder when it will be back. .... Maybe in another 4,000 year. Hm. lol. Haley is to return in 2062, wooo long time, lol. Not sure about Bopp though. I took some actually! But I haven't gotten it developed yet. Oh yeah, that was during that meteroid shower a bit back. 9:12PM

Yeah, still remember 9/11 very very clearly. Four years later and I still can't believe that it happened. Did some more homework today. Lots of it actually. And didn't come to any sort of conclusion on a major. Didn't even look at anything, lol. I do know what category to look under, so I guess that's a smidge of a bit of a start. The sky was barely clear enough so I could pick out two constellations. Good enough. So now I'm all caught up in Astronomy, but will have a new set of assignments tomorrow, well I actually just took a look, not too bad I guess. I have a test on Wednesday. Wait, omg. I just totally thought of something! Omg. Okay, so last year I took Online Webmastering and I do believe I gave my teacher my website address, pretty sure I did. I wonder if she still checks this out. Do you? Or anyone from that class? Reply please! Sorry, random thought had occured. So I took pictures of my darkroom stuff so I can ask my teacher. Mmm. That's about it. I'm about to get ready for bed. But before I do, I'll comment on my only commenter, Vicki. Infact she'll get lots of plugs tonight, Vicki Vicki Vicki Vicki Vicki. Geez, a huge grand total of 8. Vicki, I know, I wanted to cry, but I guess that means something should grow back in time. I hope. I know! It's amazing! Ah, really? I guess I just don't know. I guess I'm just going to have to take a trip and find out for sure. lol. lol!! No I wish I had a thingy room. That would be so kick ass. We can't really build one either, shame. So I'll make a proposition with my mother so I can use it in the bathroom and all the while I'll have to keep it clean. Or I'll just buy the chemicals and be like oh, guess I have to use this! lol. I'll probably just clear things out and move in there myself. But, *cough*dark*cough*room*cough*.*cough* Ahem, wooo. lol. 10:08PM

You know that telethon last night? It was on 20 different channels at my place. That's a lot. I was surprised to see that many, and it reached 100 or so countries! Amazing! I watched it and now I'm watching the VH1/MTV one. I saw Coldplay on there and they sang Fix You, and that song does fit. The show has a nice range going on. Well my day consisted of cleaning some of my room up and doing math homework and reading Grendel. Today I also went out to the garage to take another look of the darkroom equipment I have. Remember I got that like a year ago? Well, since I'm developing and printing now, I know how everything works. So I took a look and I had some good stuff. The chemicals are quite colorful and old, lol, but besides that the equipment looks good. Needs a dusting though. I have paper too! 500 sheets of 4x5 and 100 sheets of 5x7! And I think it's all still good, I'll take it to school on Monday and see what my teacher thinks. My easel is like brand new and is beautiful, lol. The red lightbulb still works too! I've got a nice direction book and I really feel like I could set it all up in my bathroom. I'd just use the tub for the well, smaller tubs, lol, and my counter for the enlarger. But I need new chemicals which will be expensive and if I do do this I need to stock up on black and white paper, because Kodak is stopping the making of it. Which upset me greatly when I found this out. But yeah I'm excited now. My canisters for the film are excellent too. I'm excited, lol. 10:12PM

Traffic to school was even worse today! Double the length it was yesterday, and it's strange because normally it's not bad at all. So my math teacher, for Calc and she's in Stats too, has dubbed me as an evil/mean person hidden within what I show at school. lol. I laugh as she says this, probably heard it 5 or so times this week, which was only 4 days of school, and I don't like it when she does. It doesn't hurt, but it's like okay. Stop. Please. Thank you. Took the Poetry test today. Went pretty well, felt good about it. It was just really long. Printed in Photo, my 4th now, woohoo! Our leaving for lunch is starting back up again on Monday. I'm excited, but I don't even really want to go because the traffic will be terrible. I hope a lot happens in two days then. Emailed my Astronomy teacher and asked what I should about the discussion board part she closed, turns out it is for a grade. She emailed me back around 5 and said I can email it to her and get credit. So, very pleased about that. I'll hopefully do that after I finish blogging here. During Study Hall I attempted to print again! Since my room for that hour is the Photo room, works out well. And I go in with Tori who is also in my Photo class, so we bond ish while doing prints, lol. But I attempted because I was having lots of issues with my test strips. I'll have to finish on Monday I guess. Did more of our lab today in Chem Lab. Our boiling water kept popping because we had some sand at the bottom, lol. So she ran over and decided that would be the end of that, lol. So we'll see if it evaporates over the weekend, if not, we'll rull out the salt component. I came home, took a small break and then I began to work on my Astronomy. Things are due today as well so I wanted to see if I could get that in. I finally finished an assignment about an hour ago. It took me a while because I had to read a lot. I then printed/cut/made a sky wheel to go outside and use, as another assignment. I just went out though, and it's cloudy. ... Soo I'll try again at 11. I've got a bazillion things to do this weekend. My goal was to have my major figured out by the end of last month, but a hurricane blasted into town that last weekend and I never got the chance. Soo, will try this weekend. And I've got loads of homework. I've been so busy lately. September is crazy. Oh and apparently the new guy I talked to yesterday is in 11th. Darn. But he sits a bit with us at lunch. The two new new people that were suppose to come today, don't think they came, maybe it'll be Monday. And one of our new girls is just snobby. Now I know they every right to be angry and or upset right now, but this girl is not. She's just insulting my school and saying how she refuses to graduate from here and corrects people since she apparently knows everything. That's not the way to act, we didn't have to take you in and I'm sure there's plenty of other children who would like to go to my school. She says she'll only be here for a few months and then will leave, so she only signed up for one class, and picked the rest out of a hat because it doesn't matter to her. That's not the way to be. 10:10PM

Wow, traffic to get to school was bad. Long line to go through before you could enter the parking lot, maybe it was because of the 2nd first day of school. That's right, we got new kids! Four that I saw for sure, 3 girls and 1 guy. And we're to be getting another girl and guy tomorrow. For our grade anyway. I talked to the guy, he was in front of me and he asked if room 149 was up the way he was going, I said no. He said something and turned back around, lol. It's not like I wasn't friendly to the new kids, I didn't personally, but we brought them over, well 3/4, to eat lunch with us. The Anglo-Saxon poetry test was pushed back until tomorrow! Yay! Was very pleased about that. I printed in Photography. Still behind in Astronomy and my teacher took down a link to the discussion board that I hadn't done yet. Oh well. But I don't think it was worth any points. I had every intention on working on that one during that hour today. Study Hall, did homework since I've been loaded down like crazy these past few days. Chem Lab, fixed are issues with the lab, lol, somewhat anyway. And we began to burn away with the water, which is a miracle since nothing would have happened any other way. I came home after school and did more homework and then around 5:55 I left to go to dance, for hip hop. Um. Well, the normal road I take is under construction and it has been closed. ... OMG Crisis! So I went another way which turned out to be worse! What would normally take about a minute took 10 minutes, I was sooo afraid I would be late! I got there at 6:14 and it starts at 6:15. woooo close call. So I went in and met up with Jamie and Jen, said hello to my old dance posse, it was Lauren and Mary. And then well we started. It was fun, that you know type of beat doesn't really come ... naturally, lol, but it was fun! Good workout too. lol. We got out early because it was the first day and I went home and watched Big Brother. I'm going for Janelle. Did more homework and I think I've finished now. Feel like I should be doing more. Also, mom was trying to go somewhere today, and instead of it taking aobut 20 minutes, it took an hour and 20 minutes. That's how packed we are down here. People are everywhere on the roads! Vicki, the mushroom has fallen over but I measured and guessed what it probably was, 7 inches tall and 6.5ish inches wide at it's widest point. Sooo... 17.8cm tall and 16.5 cm wide. Like I said yesterday, US needs to try to make the switch again back over to metric. lol. But no, we're too damn attacted to our inches, feet, and miles, lol. 9:37PM

Quick update because I have a nice big English test tomorrow still to study for; on Anglo-Saxon poetry, *gulp*. Word is, 3-4 new kids, one girl named Amanda and 2 guys, not so sure on the 4th. They are coming tomorrow. It's like the first day of school all over again, in a way. Weird how we're getting new students (for my grade) for the first time now. So I had this Calculus test today, didn't know the whole first page. You know, that's not a good thing, lol. Bah, and I can't find the time to work on Astronomy. I can't do this one part at school and I just don't have the time to do it at home! Crapola!!!! What am I going to do?! Do it all on Thursday I guess, oh crap I dance. I'm overloaded ahhh. During Study Hall I developed a picture, probably should have done homework, but I didn't get a chance during regular class. Chem Lab, oo, oo. ... We had a lab today, and it's going crazily, lol. We separated the iron filings, and then tried to get rid of the poppy seeds, but they wouldn't all float in the water and we were having lots of issues, so luckily we're carrying on tomorrow. After school, Jamie and I went to bowling! Sooo don't feel like starting that up this early. This is Jamie's first year, so I was helping her out. I got a 80, 87, 101, 110? Something like that. Pretty close to last year, lol. I was in terrible traffic trying to get home, took 40 min when it should have been maybe 15-20. Got home and did 3 hours of math homework, ahhhh. And now finally about to start English. Then I must go to sleep; I'm so tired lately. I need the weekend to work on so much ahhh. Sunburn is good, itchy still and oddly colored, compared to my normal skin, you know with the 'stripes.' lol, I'm going to measure that mushroom just for you Vicki! lol, maybe! Personally, I love all the differences in words compared to ours. Ours sound so boring, and I just like yours better, lol. 10:04PM

Alright, so I have some things I can finally talk about. Word is, is that my school is taking in 100 new kids, which is a lot for us, from K-12, and we might get 3. lol, like the least amount out of them all. I made a print today in Photo!!!! So excited, lol. It's actually really easy, lol. Still can't leave for lunch. Still behind in Astronomy. So I came home and signed up for the ACT and SAT. Maggie!!! Last day without a late fee for SAT is tomorrow! DO IT. After that I waited for mom to get ready so we could go to the mall so I could get some sneakers for my dance class, hip hop. Uh oh! Watch out, lol. Jamie and Jen are doing it too. Which is cool. And guess what!!! The mushrooms are back and bigger and better than ever!!!!!!!! Well only one, but it's fantastic and I told dad not to kill it this time, lol. I took some pictures um fine, here's a link. It's just beautiful and once again! bigger than Lexi, lol. We finally left the house and went to Walgreens and then got moms van but left it there. We then left for the mall and it took an hour to get there. .... omg. The traffic is just horrendous nowadays. Airline was packed with cars and so many people honking and doing illegal things, driving-wise. It was terrible! So we arrive at 7:30 and mom decides we should go to this one department store because it's cheaper and I say no because I know I won't find what I want. We go in, did I see anything in the small selection? Nope. So okay we'll walk to Dilliards. But mom wants to stop at Halmark for some cards. Okay, do that, and begin walking the rest of the way. But oh, that's strange, some stores are closing down now. It's just about 8, what? We continue to Dilliards and ask the chick who is now closing their doors when the mall closes. At 8. ... WHAT?! I guess put into effect from the hurricane. So that sucks. Came all that way and waited in terrible traffic to not even get my shoes. So now who knows when the next chance I'll get will be. We leave and go to Wal-Mart, that closes at 10 now! It's crazy. I really really wish I had my camera to take pictures in there. It's still pretty empty. The fruit was nasty looking, it's like they said, okay doesn't matter on quality, let's just ship everything we've got down to these stores. It was bruised and just sad from what you normally see. Eggs were gone, you can only choose from like 6 things at the deli, rice/beans in bags were gone, laundry washing stuff was gone, toiletries were low, bread, snacks, some drinks. Certain foods like that. We left and oh, before Wal-Mart, I dropped mom off at her van and we both went to Wal-Mart. I beat her home by going a different way and I got behind someone who was driving 20 in a 30. ... But had worse today when someone was driving 20 in a 45! ... People, honestly. Did some homework, and if anyone happens to know. How would you separate salt from sand? Separating it in order for me to weight each of them. That would be fantastic. Have to do it Chem Lab tomorrow and not so sure how it's going to work. Last nights sunburn picture. A little bit better. lol, thanks for Hugh Maggie! 10:27PM

We fixed the tire enough to get it to the shop, so I had to drive dads truck. wooo scary, lol. Took a little while to get use to and then it wasn't a problem. And that was it for today. I did some tv watching because my head is killing me. I was just not going to blog, but thought I should just say hello and yeah. ... Oh yeah, suburn right. See, not too bad. On second thought. lol. But really, it doesn't hurt at all, which is surprising. It's actually itchy today, and looks a lot better but I really don't feel like taking another picture, lol. Thank to the commenters! The tree picker-upper truck came around to our place today and the pile is finally gone! Yay! And, just so turns out that all that's left of both trees are the roots! Not bad. But this truck made a big mess, so dad and I had to sweep and rake it all back together and we put the rest in bags. That's when I got a sunburn. Looks pretty bad, but doesn't hurt. I was only out for an hour, lol. Maybe I'll take a picture of it, we'll see, lol. It's on my shoulders. So let's see. I did lots of scanning today. Around dinner time, mom called say I have a tire that's flat. We drive to pick her up, it's not really flat flat, but it's low. So we're going to have to fix that tomorrow. Which I don't have school, Labor Day. Whoot. That's it for me. I've also got a fair amount of homework to do tomorrow... ehh. Anyway, yeah poor New Orleans. I can't imagine what it's like to clean up down there. So much death and destruction and it being just dirty. 10:38PM

I actually didn't feel like blogging today, but thought I might as well just to give some facts or something. I helped move some huge logs from the trunk of the pond tree to the front pile of tree scraps. It's a long way and we have this little slope it was hard to get over that. I used a dolly. I then came inside around 2:30 went to pick up Amber to go see Red Eye. I wasn't going far. The movie was really good. I liked it lots, go see it if you can get the chance. I came back and helped with the tree again. Now the trunk has been cut into pieces, still big, but we can get rid of it now. I rolled about 8 big chunks to the side of the house where dad would use the dolly. It's hot and hard, wooo lots of work. That's really it for me. Superdome is finally evacuated. Those people will never be the same. And it's sad because they don't know, but are expecting to have lots of deaths caused by the hurricane. It's sad. I bet many of the people, where ever they are evacuated to, they will stay there and start their life over in that location. Why come back? Heard a lot of blackhawks again today. When I was outside, I would stop to look up. It's a strange sight to see. There's one right now. They are saying it will take 2 months to get all of that water out. Unbelievable. 9:15PM

Things were scary for a moment for sure down here, but today things have changed drastically. We still had lots of kids absent, mostly because the parents were afraid of what they were hearing. We can't leave for lunch, so us seniors found a random spot to eat and then I had a new makeup NHS meeting. But yeah, a lot lot less rumors going around today. Things are finally becoming under control in New Orleans, they are to have 17,000 military type personnel down there tomorrow. Good. They are being bused to outside states, and some are about to use airplanes, which I'm very surprised to hear about that. Supplies are finally coming into Baton Rouge, but still at a very slow rate. I've been ordered by the parents to not drive anywhere but to school and back. Which is fine, since I don't want to take the chance since it is still dangerous, and it's a waste of gas and patience to deal with the traffic. Curfew saying that you can't buy gas after 10pm. I'm constantly hearing blackhawks and other helicopters fly overheard day and night. It's a little unreal to hear it and know what they are going to be dealing with or what they just saw. And since I'm actually in this mess, you really feel alone in the situation. You don't really know if people around the US or world even know about it. It's a strange feeling. I'm seeing things on the news, but it's hard to believe that it's reached that far. What are the people making of the situation? I know what it's like here, but what about outside of the destruction? 10:51PM

First off, Happy Birthday Lexi, she's the big 04 today, lol. Um. Not hurricane focused, school is I guess as normal as it can be in these days. I helped Amber with her loading of the film in the dark room and watched the others make a contact sheet. I ended up doing that during Study Hall. Twas cool. Okay, so that was short, hurricane mixed now: All the talk concerns with rumors now. Terrible rumors. People getting car-jacked and robberies and shootings around town. Quite near actually. The seniors, me, are not allowed to leave for lunch or during study hall because the situation is just too dangerous. Which sucks, but I don't want to take the chance and it will save lots of gas, which is very very short. We had a class meeting too, I got nominated for treasurer, probably will lose to Rachel. That's fine with me though. lol. They also gated us in and no one is being allowed to leave or come in. If you do come in, they check your IDs and everything. Parents checking kids out have to show their IDs to prove they are the real parent. Some kids are already beginning to tour our school to join. Finally under marital law, thank God. We needed it soo badly. New Orleans is just out of control and riots and suicides and murders fires rapes, so many people will need therapy after this. Baton Rouge is finally closed and we have grown, overnight, to be the biggest city in Louisiana now. It's insane here now. Gas has an hour or so long wait, if it's available. And the stores are nearly empty. We need more supplies down here and we're not getting enough. I'm very very behind on my Astronomy class. I've got something due tomorrow and only half of it turned in. Some other classes' teachers emailed the kids saying they can have more time, but my teacher never said so. So I'm like oh well, not going to happen, just going to have to accept it. I could say more about the aftermath with the hurricane, but I want these people out of my city. I feel bad for saying it, but there are too many. People just being dropped off at locations and them wandering around. To think, if my parents put me in the gradutating class last year I wouldn't be here right now. But they decided that I would be one of the oldest rather than the youngest. Which is fine, but I could be away from this place. I'm sick of dealing with Louisiana's outrageous weather. 9:43PM
