Hard to wake up again this morning. I wasn't so snotty, but now getting coughy. I walked with Nick to classes. I had accounting and then 132 and then 141. We got out and went to the Atrium for some lunch. He took the bus back with me and then he went to work. I then began to study for my Marketing exam. Nick got off work and we went to his house and then to Costco to exchange his watch. Then we got back and I finished up my Marketing and called dad. It's his birthday. Then I watched House and other tv things. Now it's time for bed! 11:06PM

I woke up even more snotty today. Really sucky. Well I went to Marketing and sniffed and annoyed. Then I saw Nick for a little bit before I went back to my dorm. I had some breakfast and then lunch. I did what little homework I had and then went to History. I sniffed and annoyed in there too. Then I took the bus back and waited for Nick to come back. He drove me to Rite Aid so that I could get my medicine, but they didn't have it and said it would come in tomorrow. Damn! That's so mean of them. So I decided to get this Zicam stuff and I think it's actually working because I feel less sniffy. 10:!7PM

Last night Nick came back over and then I went out to dinner with his family. We met them at 7, finally go seated before 8 and left after 9:30. They were sooo slow. Unbelievable. We said bye and then came back to the dorm for the rest of the night. Today I woke up with no more sore throat, but now a very stuffy nose and pressure in my face. I must have a cold. Fun! So I showered and then Nick and I worked on our 132 paper and finished it. At least, for now. Then I got him to bring me to the UMall and I got an $88 pair of jeans for $30! I've been liking them for a while and now they finally went on sale. They weren't even marked on sale, so I got the deal of the day lol. Then we went to Costco and got a few things and samples. We came back and he did some reading and I rested. Then we had pizza for dinner and watched the Amazing Race and I watched Desperate Housewives. Now it's time for bed. I will go to classes tomorrow. 11:15PM

Ok so yesterday was my birthday! I got up and showered. I had breakfast and around 11, Stephanie came over and we did a case study for accounting. Then I went to my History class. I got some lunch at the Marche. Then Nick and Colin came over and we went to Magic Hat Brewery. I turned 21 by the way. So we got some growlers and then went to Winooski Beverage for some more stuff. I got $55 worth of stuff, haha. And they shouted it out it was my birthday and I got to pick out a glass to drink out of for free. Pretty neat! They also hadn't seen a Louisiana driver's license before so they had to take out the book and compare lol. Then we went back to Colin's place. We then walked to City Market to get some lasagna ingredients. Sadly by this point I was beginning to feel bad. My throat was sore and I was so sad. Well Colin cooks the stuff and we end up eating and watching presidential debate, I know so exciting. By the end of that I was feeling absolutely miserable and I barely had anything to eat. Nick took us home and I was in by midnight. I was very sad. I only turn 21 once and I felt so bad I couldn't do anything. Really sucks. So today I got up at 9 to go to the doctor. They thinks it's related to allergies so I got a nasal spray. However, all the pharmacies in Burlington are out and they have to order it. Now I have to wait till Monday, grr. Nick drove me home and we made some crescents for breakfast. It wasn't enough food but it was good. Then he left to go see his dad and grandparents and I just rested and showered. I feel a little better so I'll go out with them for dinner. Oh so Nick gave me some pearl earrings. They are nice and look good on me. Yay! 4:55PM

Well I slept with a skunk smell last night. It was so nasty. I got up today and went to Accounting. An interesting class. The average exam test was a 63. Ahem. Then I had 132, luckily it went by quickly. Next was MIS and we did more diagrams. We had lunch at the Davis Center. I picked up cupcakes from the Marche afterwards as a birthday gift thingy from my parents. Tasty! I did laundry and did some reading. I played wii and waited for Nick to come back. We worked on the 132 paper and then went downtown. We tried to go to Perrywinkle's so that I could get my ring cleaned, but they were closed. We parked and then went to Rite Aid for some things and then went to the mall. I got a pair of pants at Hollister. We stopped at City Market and got some dinner supplies. Once we got home we made rice a roni with some cooked chicken we made and added some corn too. It was good! Then we watched tv of the Office and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We'll have to watch Grey's Anatomy tomorrow or something. Almost time to drink legally! 11:11PM

I feel like I'm barely sleeping lately. The alarm goes off and I feel like I only just went to sleep. So today I had Marketing and that was ok. Then I came back to the room and did that reading. I got lunch at Alice's and they forgot about me so I had to wait more. I got back to the room and then eventually I went to my History class. That's when I feel my tiredness the most, and I can't help it. After I went upstairs in the Davis Center to read my History homework. Then I tried to take a little nap in the chairs. I went downstairs to wait for Nick to get out of work. We walked around for a while and then stopped at the Marche for a snack/dinner. Back at the dorms I played wii and then he came over and we began our 132 paper. It might not be as bad as we thought so that's a relief. He left to go to a meeting and so I watched tv. Then the fire alarm went off. It's so different then the ones at the other dorms. I almost didn't know if it was an alarm, but then it got really loud. We all went outside, Stephanie was visiting so I talked to her a little bit. I've known Stephanie since Freshman year, but I just stopped hanging out with her and others (including Meghan and Alison) because they were far away and my Freshman roommate didn't like them. Funny how things change. Last year Alison and Meghan lived across the hall and we did stuff together and now this year I have classes with Stephanie and we've begun to do some things. So then I got a salad at the Simpson store. They were out of carrots so I just had lettuce and ranch dressing lol. I watched more tv and Nick came back and then we hung out in his room. Now it's bedtime! 11:13PM

Woke up today and I had my accounting exam. It was tricky. I think I passed, but I'm not sure how great I did. I'll find out tomorrow. Then I had some free time before class so I went to the Atrium. I got a muffin and hot drink. Off to 132 I went and that was long and I had to pee so badly. Finally made it and then had MIS. That was ok. We got our early. Nick and I headed over to the Marche for some lunch but there weren't very good options. I then went to the room for my homework. I did a lot, accounting, 132 and MIS. Nick and I went to New World Tortilla for dinner and splurged on some ice cream for dessert. Yummy! Then back here and watched House. I finished all of my reading and played a little wii. We had room checks today. I passed! I also walked around all day with a hole in my pants. Right in the crotch, with pink underwear. haha. Oh well. 11:12PM

It was hard to get up today, but I did and showered. I went to Marketing and we talked about our group project. Then I saw Nick a little bit before I went to the BSAD computer lab. Then we got lunch at the Atrium once he was out of class. Then I went back to my dorm and I go 3 birthday cards! From my parents, puppy, and my aunt & family! Thank you very much by the way. I really don't know what to do with the money. I think I may save it for when we got to Las Vegas and maybe do some shopping there and get something nice. So then I had to go to History and we turned in our papers. Then I went back to the BSAD school and visited with my professor and met up with Stephanie one last time. Then I came back to the dorm, studied and read a lot of stuff. I had leftover spaghetti and meatballs. Then we watched the 3 hour premiere of Heroes. It was good good. Now it is time for bed, right away. 11:10PM

So Nick and I left soon after I finished blogging yesterday. We drove to Canada and got across the border fine. They only care about statistics like how long you're there for and for what reasons. So we make it to Montreal and like last time, the road the map says to take is under construction so we kinda wing it and end up doing just fine! We couldn't find our parking tower but actually stumbled upon it so it was perfect. And it was so so nice. A parking garage that's nice. Yeah. So then we walked around and found out where the concert will be. It's like this big park on the water where all kinds of events happen. I mean I literally saw like 5 brides yesterday. So we began our walk to dinner. It was like a 20 minute walk and we ended up going through Chinatown and it was so cool. Never been in one before. Neat things in the stores and with the food. So we pass Baton Rouge, which is the restaurant we ate at last time. And we decide to just eat there since we're running low on time. So we get seated outside and get some drinks, but it took forever to get them. Our food came out in maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it. They were so busy but so fast with the food. It was tasty and I got a wildberry margarita. With all kinds of berries it in, but it was so incredibly weak. We get one more drink since we don't have time to go to any bars. I get a strawberry daiquiri. Again very weak. I hardly tasted it, but I had to pee. Also, I was super full so I never felt anything. So we head back to the concert area and it's nearly dark, around 7. We get in line and wait to be let into the show. Oh we checked how we need to pay for the parking since it's like a teller and hopefully we wouldn't have to exchange money since nothing was open. But we were fine. I just charged it later. So the concert was almost ready to start, we get a spot. Kinda far back but that's ok. So a group opens them up and sorry but it was a little boring. So different from the Osheaga, this was much more tame. People just essentially stood for almost 4 hours in one spot. My back was killing me too. So Sigur Ros starts and it was good. I heard my favorite song, but I otherwise didn't really know anything else. It was still fun to go. So it finished right before 11. We pay for parking and try to figure out how to get back. I navigated him back and we were so successful. Yeah! So we drove back, got to the border. Got across fine, they really want to know what you're all about. But we got through and got home. Went to sleep just before 2. So got up today around 11. Showered and I finished my paper. I also studied for Accounting for several hours. At on point Nick and I went to the Marche for lunch and then to the Simpson store for dinner. We watched tv and now I'm going to bed! 11:20PM

Nothing much to talk about so far, but I won't be able to blog later. I got up today and showered. I worked on my paper for a little bit and all I have left to do is the conclusion. Not bad! Then we went to the Marche for breakfast even though I had already eaten. I wanted to get more food in my belly since we wouldn't really have lunch and just go straight to dinner. Then I decided I should get a new camera. Because I really want to bring one tonight, but the camera I always use is just to heavy. I want a pocket camera for quick, non-important quality pictures. Just for snap shots or a night out. There's less pressure when you use one of those too instead of something fancy lol. So we went to Best Buy and I got this. I can use my same card as I do in the other digital camera. I could have gotten a Canon one, which I'd prefer, but that took batteries and that would only make it heavier. So far I'm pleased. Soon we'll be leaving for Montreal. We know where to park and where we are eating. Then we'll go to the Sigur Ros concert and head back home. 2:40PM

Woke up today kinda early so that I could go get some accounting help. It certainly was worth it. I took the bus to the Atrium but they didn't have any blueberry muffins. I went to the Marche and just got some donuts. I came back to the dorm and worked more on my accounting. I then went to History class and then came back and finished Accounting. I then wrote a lot of my paper and then Nick and I went to dinner at the Marche. We came back and worked more on my paper. We watched Project Runway. Then we watched 21 and now we're just hanging out and watching tv. Tomorrow we're going to Montreal! 11:22PM

Today I walked to accounting and I got a 100, woot. Then it was time for 132. That was ok. Then 141 where did more diagrams and got out early. Nick and I went to the Marche for some lunch and I went back to the dorm as he went to work. I did my homework and struggled more with the packet. Oh well. I did laundry and talked to mom a little bit. Then around 6:30, Nick and I made dinner! We made spaghetti and meatballs. There's some leftovers with it too. Then we watched the premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Hilarious. Now I'm tired and shall go to sleep. And it's going to get down into the 30s tonight. Let's see I got up and went to Marketing. But first Nick and I looked at our potential apartment on the way. It seems nice. Outside looks really good anyway. Marketing was good. A girl called me by my name and it blew my mind. I didn't know her. But I was excited and her and I and 2 other girls are going to work together in a group project. Then it finally came to me, I knew I knew her. She was my freshman roommates friend! So that's exciting. I came back to the dorm and then went to the Marche. I got some meatballs to make with our pasta. I came back and did some homework. Then I took the bus to history. Back to the dorms afterwards and I finished my reading. Then Stephanie came over and she drove us to this Accounting study group thing, to work on our packets. It was so hard and the professor said it would only take 30 minutes. We were there however for almost 3 hours and still not even half way. Crazy. I was sooo wiped out. Nick and I just ordered a pizza and somehow I managed to finish that packet, or at least to what was due. 11:59PM

I went to Accounting today. We learned a lot today. Then it was time for 132 and that was interesting too. Talked about what's going on in the market. Nothing good lol. Then we had MIS and learned about flow diagrams. So particular. Then Nick and I ate at New World Tortilla. Ben and Jerry's smelt soo good so I had to get some ice cream and it was delicious. Then I came back, did my homework. Nick and I went over MIS homework and then we went to Brennan's dinner. They take forever to give me a salad. Two times in a row. I don't get what the deal is. So we left and looked at a few apartments we're interested in. Just the outside anyway. We made it back for the premiere of House and then the finale of Big Brother. I wanted Dan to win. Now we're relaxing and playing Mario Kart and soon it's bed time. 10:32PM

Yesterday I got up and got ready for class. Nick had to leave early because he needed to mail a package. Marketing went fine, but I wasn't feeling very well. Then I took the bus to the Marche and got a bagel. I got back to the dorm and ate and did some homework. Then I went back for History. And I read after class. Not much homework for then. But Nick dropped me off at Stephanie's house so that we could do some accounting work. He picked me up and then we waited for like 25 minutes to get a sub at the Simpson store. It was very good though. So I'll probably go there more often, but they have horrible hours. They expect you to eat at the dining halls first and waste more money. 11:59PM

Now today I got up and showered again. We checked out the floor brunch thing, but it didn't look too good. So we went to the Marche and had some breakfast there. Walked back and then I had to read my book for History. 110 pages later I finally finished. Nick and I made some spaghetti tonight and it was pretty good. We didn't make enough though. Oops. Then we watched tv and Big Brother and played Mario Kart. Fun stuff! Now it's time for bed. 11:12PM

Saturday I got up and showered. I read some accounting and then once Nick got up we went to Simpson to eat brunch. It was really tasty. So then I did my Accounting homework and then we went downtown for a while. We stopped at Border's and then at Homeport. Then we ate at Roque's for dinner. It was nice! We got there before the rush and everything. Then we came back up to campus and stayed in for the rest of the night. I had a really upset stomach though,so it was good we stayed haha. 11:59PM

I dropped my English class so I didn't have to go for it. I found out I don't need the 140ish credits as I was planning on now so I am back up to speed and not behind anymore. So I slept in and then went to a short History class. We went to the Flemming museum to see this little exhibit stuff. Then I went to the Marche for a quick lunch. Then we went to his house so that he could apply for his passport. We went down to the courthouse and did just that. Then came back to campus and now we're trying to figure out what to do tonight but i'ts kinda rainy and cold out. So we'll see. 6:15PM

Brr it's cold! I wasn't ready for it to get cold yet. It's only been getting up into the mid 60s and I need to wear pants and a jacket. It's too soon. I was hoping to have another 2 or 3 weeks of nice weather. I've already turned on the heat. ... lol. I got up, got ready. Walked to class. I had Marketing and that was lovely. Then I bused my way home and did some of my Accounting packet and had a slice of pizza. Bused back to classes for English, blah. Then over to another room for History. Back to the dorms where I finished accounting homework. I then met with Stephanie again and slaved away over our packet. We finally finished, but it wasn't balanced. However, we figured it out! And it was super tricky. So I really hope no one else could get it. Or a very small few. I also finished English reading and now I'm about to get ready for bed. I'm ready for the weekend. 10:52PM

It was raining this morning and thundering really hard which is weird for Burlington. I got ready and forced Nick to take the bus, but it was super crowded. He won't do it again lol. We got off and I went to my Accounting class. I like the professor, but it's still taking a while to get somewhere in class. We're definitely getting somewhere for homework though! That's for sure! I've got tons every other night that rolls over to the other nights. I then had 132 and that was typical. Yep, I've already found typical for a class. Then it was MIS and that was good. I don't like using my tablet though. I'll stick to pen and paper. Nick and I got lunch at the Davis Center and then I went back to the dorm. I tried some homework and then took a 30 minute nap lol. Then I met with Stephanie earlier than planned at the Davis Center to work on some of our big Accounting packet. We were there for hours, but I still don't feel like we got much done. It just takes forever to do one thing. I got dinner at New World Tortilla and went back to the dorms after 7. I ate and did more homework. Nick came over for Big Brother and mom called. Today I got up and it was so cold in the hallway. I got ready for class and then Nick and I walked to our first ones. I went to Marketing. It was my first day, but really the 2nd for that class. I think it may be good. I'm just dreading the big group project when I don't know anyone in the class. I talked to a few girls in the beginning though. Then I had two hours to pass. I went to Alice's and got a bagel and milk. I sat down and ate and then read my Marketing homework. Then I finally was able to go to my next class. I waited for the bus, but it was taking too long so I walked. Class was ok. It's an extremely basic entry English. It must be pure freshman, but it's nice to not have a class that demands 100% of your time. Then I went to History in our new classroom. It was nice, but I had a dirty desk, yuck. I then came back to the dorm. Tried to do some homework, but I needed a nap. An hour later I got up and was greeted by Nick. He went to see Colin and brought back some McDonalds for dinner. I watched Jon and Kate Plus 8, and it was wonderful. I did more homework for the rest of the night. Dad also sent me the pictures from the storm and they are good. Big changes! 11:59PM

Today we got up and I got ready. Then I did some Accounting problems. We got lunch at the Marche and then I read a chapter for Accounting. Then we played more wii and stuff. I then began this SUA packet and it is so complicated. Some of them were pretty easy, but there's 2 now that I just have no idea over. Not good. So we got dinner at Brennan's and saw Colin there. They were so busy. I got a big salad and it was pretty good although they took forever. Then we came back and watched Big Brother. Then a little of the boring VMA's. Yesterday I slept in a bit and began my homework. I finished reading English and History and then did my reading for 132. Then Nick and I went to eat first and then went downtown to the Art Hop. It was an ugly day, but we still had fun walking around and seeing things. I really liked some stained glass, but it was $75. We saw his dad and later got ice cream. Then we stopped at his dad's house where my new Threadless t-shirt was. We also stopped at Best Buy and decided to get Mario Kart. We came back up to campus and I did some more reading for 141. Once that was done I had my pizza and then he made some macaroni and cheese. We watched some TLC shows. We played a little games too. Then at 12, I was hungry lol. So we tried to go to Brennan's, but they were really discouraging people. So we went to McDonalds. It was so good! Then we went to sleep. My parents also finally got power after 5 solid days of being without it. 11:59PM

Today I went to some first time classes. I had English which should be pretty easy but kinda annoying. I'll stick to it, anything to boost a gpa! And then I had History and that looks really good. I'm excited. We're changing classrooms so we'll be closer and maybe in some air conditioning! After I got some pancakes at the Marche. It was a huge surprise. I did some homework and then I ordered a pizza for myself and Nick. Right now, all I want is to see local pictures of Baton Rouge and there are not any of what I want to see. I don't care about LSU, I don't know that area. I want to see pictures of Seign, Airline, Coursey, Bluebonnet, landmarks around EBR. It's frustrating. Wal-Marts, the mall, some schools, places that I drive by each day to see how it held up. I know people are confined to their houses and that's what is primarily being put up. But I don't recognize it so it doesn't help. I certainly won't be back in the near future either, so this is all I can depend on. 11:44PM

Yesterday I felt a little bit better. Still had a hard time swallowing and stuff. I went to class though. I made it to 261 and then we had to back track to the Davis Center and watch a big meeting. I couldn't follow it. Oh well. I then had 132 and we participated in a pit market. That was interesting. Then it was 141 and we took a readiness test of Office and then we were able to leave once we were done. I came back to the room after grabbing a hot dog from Alice's and began to catch up on homework. I later had dinner with Nick and then watched a little tv at night. 11:59PM

Today I got up and felt a fair amount better. I got an appointment to go to the doctor at 9:40. I got ready and went down. They are treating me for Strep since I've got all the symptoms. I then went to get my prescription filled but I began to black out and I had to sit down in the hallway every 5 steps or so. It was horrible. I had no idea where that came from. Scary. I flung my prescription to the pharmacist and went to find a bathroom, but I never made it since I had to sit down again lol. I finally got it and walked to the bus stop. Got on the bus and went to the dorm. I slept for a little big and tried to do more homework to catch up. I didn't go to classes at all today. Really sucks. I probably would have gone to my later 2 had I not felt like I was going to pass out. Nick and I ate at New World Tortilla, but I wasn't that hungry still. My tonsils are huge and nasty with white spots all over them. We had a floor meeting at 8 and it was 40 minutes long. Outrageous. I'm about to get ready for bed now though. 10:02PM

Well I woke up with a fever during the middle of the night and it was still there in the morning with a very sore throat. I was so upset because it's only the first day of classes and I'm sick already. I decided I had to go no matter what. I took some Motrin and went to class. Luckily all 3 that day were in the same building. I had Intermediate Accounting first. This will be the 2nd hardest class I take for business. And it seems to be right on so far. Hopefully I'll do ok in it. Then I went downstairs for Business and It's Environment. It's a bunch of law stuff and doesn't excite me in the very least. Then I had MIS which seems good but I have to bring my laptop to that class and I have to bring my two gigantic and heavy books to Accounting. So I don't know what I'll do about that. Nick may carry my laptop because it's too much, especially now when I'm sick. So after Nick and I had a small lunch. I wasn't really interested in eating. I then took the bus back up the dorms and rested. I tried doing some homework, but I just felt soo horrible. My fever got up to 103.5 Crazy! I watched a little bit of Big Brother and I had Nick spend the night so that he could be there if I got worse. 11:59PM

I'm writing all the days that have gone by, 28th through 31st. Today I slept in till after 10. I called home to see what the hurricane was doing. They boarded up yesterday and tied everything down. A tree between us and our neighbors house that was scary luckily fell already and fell very nicely into the yard and not on our house, which we were worried about. Another tree also fell that has been splitting since Katrina and it fell finally onto their house. That is unbelievable. It would have been so easy to take care of that and now they will be pay thousands to fix their house. They've been out of power since 10 their time but have the generator going on and off. this tree fell. The "Y" into our yard. And this tree fell through their own house. I'm calling every so often to keep them up date on things. I'll continue that throughout the day. After 4 I will go see Nick and have dinner at Cook. Then I'll come back to the dorm. I tried contacting Meghan, but she still hasn't answered for hours. Oh well. 3:05PM
